I am a consumer looking to buy 2 maybe 3 droids.

All I am interested in is cargo space. So... which droid can hold the most?

I'm not interested in how well it shoots, tanks, heals, looks, sounds or anything... just how much it can hold for me.

Thanks guys,

and may the loving you SO deserve be the christmas gift you guys are all waiting for.

Almost any of 'em, with the exceptions of some of the talking droids, and the binary load lifters.

Some of the talking droids are bugged, and won't work with item storage (surgicals), and one of the talking droids (the basic 3PO) will not accept modules at all. The BLL will also not accept modules of any sort, whether basic OR advanced.

Other than that, pretty much any droid can serve as a 10 item storage chamber.

10 Item storage is the best that one can get out of any droid. The storage space is based on the rating of the module and not any actual droid. When in deed form, you will want to look for a droid that has a Storage Module rating of -12 or more, this equals 10 item storage.

The basic MSE Mouse droid can hold up to 10 Binary Load Lifter (BLL) chassis in it's little compartment. The BLL cannot hold any mouse droids. Actually, the mouse could hold 10 PA halls, 10 statues, 10 large houses -- 10 of anything you want. But the BLL holds nothing. Heck, it doesn't even LIFT anything.

But am I bitter? No...

Seriously though, any droid that can store items, can store 10 if it's set up properly. I would recommend ordering a DZ70 with storagebecause it isinexpensive and it moves well over all terrain (except some zone lines).

So, let me get this straight: To advance my character, I have to give up my current abilities?

*****Scene: A-1 Automaton Space Haul, Moving, and Galactic Relocation Services*****

(A bright eyed, clean cut, customer walks through the door to the front officeand rings the tiny bell on the counter. Binary Load Lifters, MSE's andR2'sare busily toiling outside. A rotund middle aged, blue collarman enters through a side door to greet the customer. His face is leathery with at least a week's worth of growth on his face, complete with a thick cigar jutting from his grubby mouth.)

Clerk: (deep voice, matter of factly) What can I do ya for?

Customer: (curiously) Uh, I'm looking for some storage alternatives. This ratty old backpack just isn't enough.

Clerk: (looks at the backpack) Ah yes, I remember making those way back in the day...

Customer: Now, I'm looking for a balance between good storage and mobility. Can you help?

Clerk: (boastful) Oh sure bud, we got ya covered here at A-1.Let's head outside and take a look at your options.

Customer: (Happily) Okay!

(The grubby clerk and the customer head outside, a MSE whizzes by underfoot, almost tripping the wide-eyed customer)

Clerk: (taking a deep breath, pointing at a giant BLL droid walking by aimlessly) You see that beaut over there?

Customer: Yeah... I think tha... (interrupted)

Clerk: (boastful) She's amazing. With quadrenium cambers, six-yidrenic plated reflex joints, over250 cubic feet of interior capacity, ditanium reinforced Quad-tech actuators, and more power than your mom's X34... she's got you covered no matter your load.

Customer: (reluctantly) I think she's a bit big... see, I have these... (interrupted)

Clerk: Whaddya mean she's too big? If you're looking for no-nonsense storage, she's got you covered. Why risk breaking your mom's china when this baby will look after it for you?

Customer: (reluctantly) Okay... well... how much can she carry?

Clerk: (sadly) Well, nothing... YET. See, Industrial Automata has yet to design a BLL with a storage module... or any module for that matter....

Customer: (annoyed) But you said "she got your covered for storage"? What happened to the 250 cubic feet of storage?

Clerk: Oh yeah... well... in the future. We're anticipating that she'll be top of the line, primo storage! Right now, she just kinda walks around lookin' pretty.Caught your eye, didn't it?

Customer: (annoyed) Look, I need help now... my backpack is overflowing and I need something that is affordable.

Clerk: Okay, okay... (pointing to an MSE) How about 'ole Bitsy?

Customer: (blank stare) An MSE? My brother had one once.... we had to commit him because of the droid. What else do you have?

(off in the distance, the MSE lets loose with a rude beep)

Clerk: (pointing to an R2 unit) How about AreTwoDeeSixteen?

Customer: (annoyed) Don't you mean R2D16?

Clerk: (impertinent) Look, I don't make the rules bud... no numbers in their names.Yeah, makes about as much sense as "galactic military intelligence", so whaddya going to do?

Customer: (impatient) Okay, what can it store?

Clerk: (matter of factly) 10 items.

Customer: (perturbed) Just 10?

Clerk: (quickly) Yep. 10 Only.

Customer: (upset) But I need real help... what about Bitsy?

Clerk: (quickly) 10 items.

Customer: (growing angrier) And that stupid BLL, what if you could put a module in it?

Clerk: (bored) 10 items.

Customer: (furious) I need help! I got to get these Christmas holocrons out to the noob area right away and I can't carry them all.How are you going to help me!?

Clerk: (dismissive) Get another account bud....

Customer: Gah!

Who knows, every patch changes something with droids that none of us have any clue about. why?.... because the devs (unlike in other games) are too **edit** lazy to type patch notes for us on. On the other hand, maybe my theory is correct and the devs dont realy have a clue as to what they've changed for droids in the latest patch.

So honestly... no one knows.

The storage part won't work. There is no 'Access Droids Storage Compartment' option on their radial menu. IIRC there is no "Access Droids Datapad" option either. There have been reported cases of the medical capacity being spontaneously broken at times also, but I'm not sure if that problem is still present or not.

Also, AFAIK, LE Repair Droids don't have the option for the Item/Data storage modules, and, again unless it's been fixed, they don't have the "Repair" option on their radial menu to repair other droids.

And repair modules don't work in Power Droids, because of course, a completely utilitarian droid that could repair AND recharge other droids would just be flat out unacceptable, even though that would be very "Swiss army knife" of it to do so.....

I'm not bitter though.... not at all...
