I tried using the search tool but it didn't work very well. It doesn't seem like there are many around...

Special trainers dont show up on search. You will have to find them. One DE trainer is in Bestine. In the guildhall right next to the starport.

not the search tool in game, i mean the search tool on the forums that lets you see if anyone else has asked the same question!

Might I suggest looking on the front page, about 10 posts down.Sometimes just looking at the front page of what has been posted on the forum will yeild the answers you are 'searching' for.
