A very big hello to all the fellow DE's here and in SWG. Firstly before even buying the game, I had one profession only in mind to do and that was to become a DE, I have always loved the undervalued robots throughout the SW saga, so DE was the only path, even tho my Holo told me differentl.

Now, I have been a novice DE for a few weeks now, but am finding it so hard to earn the Xps and find the right way of going about things. I have just earnt level 3 blueprints after hours of mouse and R4 frame crafting, it has nearly killed me lol.

Now it has become evident that DE's need to be a jack of all-trade's as such, with various components used in droid construction only found in other careers. I found this out as I eagerly tried to make an EG6 power droid, but to find I need to go up to level 1 Architect to be able to make the power core.

Also with the level 3 blueprints it seems I cant make some of the droids as I can not make ADV motivators, could anyone please tell me where I can find them or guide me as to which ladder on the DE skill chart I need for this part and other necessary components.

My resources are limited and need a direction to travel in as I can't afford to spare any Xp's down the wrong road.

Thank you for your time

It is pretty much a given that to be a real DE you have to be a Master Artisan as well. I also suppose if you want to get Novice Architect/Buildings I you can make a big factory run of Power Modules. 100 will probably last you forever unless power droids are given more utility.

Most advanced droid production will require large factory runs MA components. Welcome to the Life.

Make sure you are near a "private" crafting station or near your crafting droid and not near one of the "public" terminals. I made that mistake a while back and with the help of the good people on this board i made it. Also, since you have Blueprints Lvl 3, you should be making "Advanced Droid Frames" as they are the best general xp units you can make. Give it a try :-)

Hey thanks for the advice guys, ill certainly take everything on board. Looking forward to DE's playing a vital part in the up-coming Space add-on, which i'm sure we will be in need for especially on Astromech units.

Before I sign off there is a question I have regarding Power droid construction. I am level 3 as mentioned earlier, and would like to make a Power droid or two, but I can not find how to make or where to get the power core for the blueprints from.

I presumed this would be the same core in Level 1 buildings up the Architect ladder, but after buying some from the Bazaar or at least what I thought were the right ones, I found they couldn't be used?

I found the ADV motivators, I think the screen just glitched and wouldn't show them before, but after a re-boot and another check, it had appeared.

Take care out there and thanks....

Power core is an architect item.

The power cores you bought off of the bazaar are used in this months (years? rofl) story. They don't work like arch made ones.

So I definantly need to get Buildings 1 on the Architect ladder to unlock the power core for the Power droids then ? I just didn't want to go there and find it wasn't the right one and I had wasted valuable time and skill points to find that out.

You could just get an architect to do a run of them in you in his factory

They aren't that big of a seller, IMO - they are more a novelty item for most people. They are expensive to make, and have very limited module capacity.

With that said, I am making a small run of power droids with a repair module in them soon... I'll see how well those sell once I get them on my vendor.

I'd suggest against the Repair Module, since as of 12/23theRepair modstill does not work in the Power Droid.
