Hi there, as droids will be coming onto the markets at a steady pace, I am wondering if anyone knows of a fair droid price guide-line. I don't want to over or undersell anything but remain fair to the going prices expected for certain models of droids.

I know there are not that many on markets as the credit limit is 3K and I Just have no idea what is expected price-wise.

Thanks. ( Happy Holidays )

Calculate your costs and add in a profit margin that is reasonable to you. If you find that people won't buy, shave your margin. Don't sell under cost, but look for ways to reduce cost (like operating your own mines).

I find that my cost is about 0.7 cr/unit averaged over all resources (I buy gas on the bazaar). That makes true cost for a loaded R2 about 3k, plus 5k for my time is 8k retail. I find that this sells.

Hey thanks Garenth, that'll certainly help. Wondering if anyone has put or if there is an official price guide for the retailing of all the SWG droids, as it would help with the market and ensure that people would trade at reasonable levels for the buyers.

Here's my current price guide that I use in coronet-Ahazi. But yoru best bet is to talk to those around you who you'll be selling with. match their prices (or even go higher when they're not around) and you'll find you'll all do decent business.

>
> Hello, and welcome to Woodrow Acktoe's Droid Brochure. Here, you can find the price for all major droid models, and many Droid-related questions are answered as well.
>
> Before we list the prices, here are the different features, or 'modules', a droid can have:
>
> -Private Crafting Station: The greatest of things for crafters and medics alike! Having a droid with one of these will allow you to craft the highest complexity items AND experiment on those items any time, anywhere. No further need to own a house and huge bulky station in there! You can choose from any of the private crafting stations available, or even have MULTIPLE CRAFTING STATIONS in a droid. Sorry for the caps, but its a new feature!
>
> -Medical Module: This baby allows medics to practice their wound healing Anywhere! You no longer have to be in a city or med centre to heal, because if you have a droid with one of these, then it acts just like you were in a med centre. Only one module functions in a droid (multiples have no further effect)
>
> -10 item inventory space: Self explanitory baby. Unfortunately we can only put a single 10 space inventory module into a droid.
>
> -repair module: This is used to repair the BLACK wound damage on droids, NOT white HAM damage. We'll be getting a new droid repair kit over the next month so don't fear for long.
> ---------------------------------
> Now, for the prices on the popular lines.
>
> Baseline Droids:
> R5, MSE, WED treadwell, or DZ-70
> -with one module: 20k
> -with two modules: 22k
>
> Surgical droid:
> -comes with food/chem crafting and med module: 25k
>
> R2 droid:
> -one module: 25k
> -two modules: 28k
> -three modules: 30k
>
> R2 Advance droid:
> -four modules: 35k
> -five modules: 40k
>
> R3 Adv droid:
> -six modules: 65k (Favorite setup: all 4 craft stations, medical, inventory)
>
>
> Combat Probot: (820 HAM, 40% resists to all dmg types. Perfect Non-CH pet)
> -No modules: 25k
> -one module: 30k
> -two modules: 35k
>
>
> Alright! That should do it! If you can't find what you're looking for on this brochure (I.E. Seekers or Arakyds), feel free to ask me or try out some stores of other droid engineers on this server Good luck mateys!

Below is the email i'll send out to anyone who is interested in buying a droid from me (Chimera). But most people still just ask me to 'make the best medi droid you can' and to be honest i'll sell them what they ask for - a droid (adv surgical) with just a lv6 medical mod. My best selling droid is an R3 because of being able to get so much into it. A fully loaded one of them is 40k.

A good way of getting sales is to offer discounts on mulitple purchases. Above R3 is 40k, but i happily sell two for 70k. People will ALWAYS come back if their first buy is a good one.

Oh and if anyone has any ideas on how to improve this list...

Habe's Droid Price List:

This price list consists of 3 parts - Frames, Options and Misc Droid Parts.

Droid frame information is given first. This includes Price and 3 options - Max Modules (Mmod) allowed, Max Armour (arm) allowed and a Personality Chip (Pchip) option.

Second is the Module, Armour and Personality Chip options including price and a little information on each item.

If you want a full Droid then 1) select frame type and 2) any amount of options up to the Droid Max.

ALL DROIDS ARE THE SAME!!! Only the Modules you chose for your droid makes it any better or different from any other Droid. An MSE with a Medical Module is EXACTLY THE SAME as an Advanced Surgical Droid with the same Module. HAM can change but it is only a minor difference between Droids.

House display Droids are marked with an * asterix as it is not yet possible to display all Droid types. You pay just frame price for these.

If you have any further questions please ask for 'Habe's Droid FAQ' (currently in production).

My prices are almost identical to robertread's... the major differences being the BLL and Power Droids where I'm significantly cheaper.

I use the same chassis vs module pricing scheme and it has served me very well. And like he said, giving your customers a good buying experience is by far the best way to get repeat sales. I have several customers who have come back over and over to buy new droids simply because I took the time to teach them how to tame, program, and name their droids the first time they bought one. A personal experience is much better than an email, too - it sticks in their minds longer. I do have an instructional email that I send them, but I also walk them through it.

All of my droid prices include max armor and a personality chip where applicable.

My prices are very close to what Woody has listed in his post. I can not sell them for less because I have a hard time keeping my vendors stocked as it is.And that is with two factorys always running and 5 high BER harvestors up and running all the time.

I just finished a load of R2's that have all the crafting stations, medical modules, storage and repair modules in them. Took me over a week to finish up in my factorys. I sell them for around 60k. While that may sound high to some of you, I look at it this way: Once you buy that one R2 droid you will never need another droid again. You can grind through any profession with that droid and never need a replacement droid with the other module(s) that you need.

I generally charge 10 CPU, then add 25% to that total, then round up to the nearest 500 (ie 18,310 = 18.5k, 18, 795 = 19k). I sell a decent amount of droids and can easily cover my costs.

I normaly sell droids for about the same. Much below that price it is far from worth my time to make them. Hopefully SOE will one day make our profession worth the time to become.
