Greetings Master Engineers!
I'm looking to replace my dented and rusty old R5 unit with something a bit more up to date and just wanted to find out what my options were (underbody rustproofing, fluffy dice and the like).
Now I have a bit more cash to spare, I wanted to know what the best options were - I was thinking of an R2/R3 unit, which absolutely MUST have a 110 Medical module and a high quality food/chem crafting station, but I don't really know what else I ought to look for, I'm not expecting it to do any fighting so armour isn't necessary, it's strictly a utility unit, so I was thinking storage might be an option, how does this work ?
Anything else I might want to stick in there ? A weapon/droid/general crafting station might be a good idea I think, just so I can make generic schematics in the middle of nowhere (camps
)
Thanks.

An advanced R2 unit would allow you to have:
110% medical
Food/chemical crafting
Weapon/droid/general crafting
10 item storage
and one more option, such as data storage or a repair module.
That's the second best droid we can make, in terms of function. The best one would be the advanced R3, which can hold one more functional module than the advanced R2.
Either droid can be optionally armored, this armor makes no difference in the function of the droid, just makes it tougher when under attack.

Thanks for replying,
The data storage ? Does that work as an extended datapad ?
What use is a repair module currently ? What does it do ?
Could I have 2 storage modules for 20 items of storage ?

Data storage is useful at the current time only for manufacturing schematics, waypoints do not currently fit, although we hope that may change back again one day.
Repair modules can be used for one purpose: To heal Health and Action black-bar damage on another droid.
Ten items per droid is a hard cap.

As far as I know, you can put all four types into one droid now, and expect full function.
Now if they'd just stop letting clusters fit into normal module sockets, we'd have something with which to truly differentiate our wares.
