Funny, I've read the list of updates for Publish 7 a few times (and one more time after reading this post). Nothing in there says "Adv Probot Droids will no longer have an armor rating". Please, show us where it clearly states this before you say someone is "whining", Oune. Btw, I wouldn't saysomeone is"whining" whenthe post sounded well thought out (the poster went through all the trouble of experimenting to see if it was a repeatable bug) and politely written.

I, for one, will not be buying any new droids until this issue is dealt with. I suffered through a frustraiting Creature Level limit (then, when I turned in the most powerful Non CH pet at the time, I got one of the weakest CL10 pets out there...talk about a rip-off).

If more ppl refuse to buy these droids untill they're fixed, it'll hurt the DEs (sorry guys) and they'll start complaining until something is done about it.

I can't find where they said it now, but it was stated that droids armor was getting nerfed. I don't think they ever said how much, except that it would bring it inline with a lvl10 pet. Post in the DE forum and I am sure they can fill you in.

Actually, I follow updates pretty well and read update notes and all and only heard about it a couple of days before the patch went live. So it wasn't exactly what I would call common knowledge. This nerf sorta snuck up on a lot of people.

The official maximum armour rating for any droid is now 20% resist to all, AR0 (previously 40% resist, AR2).
The maximum damage a droid can do is now around 150 (probot with 5 good combat modules), was previously around 80.
Max HAM on a probot is now 1100, was previously 880.
Max HAM on LE Repair Droid is now 2200, was around 100 (a LE Repair can only do melee damage, around 50-60 with 5 combat modules).

I removed all droids with combat abilities from my vendor. I don't want to sell a probot for 40k (around 10k profit) which is useless to anyone but the absolute newbie.

You guys missed a very important point.

If you only store the droid and call it again it will become a no armor 40% resist droid. However, if you - upon generating it from the deed - modify the droid ( recharge it with batteries, put something into the compartment ) and THEN store it, it will become whatever resist % it had when you generated it.

Greetings,

I had a shocking surprise when I logged on after Publish 7 went live. My advanced Probot lost it's Medium Armor, it had None. The 40% resists stayed of course. I was mad. CSR said they're sorry but they can't reimburse.

Then a guildmate of mine said that the Probot lost it's Medium Armor, same as mine.

So I went out this morning and conducted my own testing ( at my own expense of course ).

First ADV Probot: First call no armor 15% resists ( no listing of commands in datapad ). Store. Subsequent calls no armor 40% resists, stayed this way after that.

Second ADV Probot: First call no armor 15% resists ( listing of commands in datapad ). I put some batteries into it ( changing database item properties ). Store. Subsequent calls no armor 15% resists, stayed that way.

Third ADV Probot: First call no armor 20% resists ( no listing of commands in datapad ). Store. Subsequent calls no armor 40% resists, stayed that way.

Fourth ADV Probot: First call no armor 15% resists ( no listing of commands in datapad ). Store. Subsequent calls no armor 40% resists, stayed that way.

My conclusion: Probots are FUBAR upon calling after Publish 7. If any of you have an advanced probot in your datapad, do not, I repeat DO NOT call it. Also, do not buy any ADV Probot deeds in shops, you will NOT get what you pay for.

The bug is already known, see the droid issues thread and the publish 7 buglist thread. It's all there.

Sad thing is, it is NOT a bug

Runesabre (who should know better) said that a probot with AR2 is a CL150 pet..anyone still laughing? See the Stratics chat thread.

This misinformation has now got completely out of hand..and all I know is I will not sell new probots at all, they are an embarassment to our profession.

I believe that what he actually said is that "current" Probot armor (which means AR0) is equal to a CL150 mob.

A slight, but important,difference...

he didn't mean the probot itself as I understood it, he meant the armor rating. only mobs of lvl 150 or so had 40% AR2
