hehe...oh yeah. We learned something else from this about the SW legends. R2-D2 was not an astromech or a utility droid. Nope, not at all---he was a combat droid for the technologically retarded....

As far as DE being the worst crafting profession, I can't intelligently answer that as I've only done this for a couple days as master and architect a LONG time ago. I much say, though, that I have good faith that the devs intended to revolutionize this prof as they did the Chef profession in Publish 6. It's just their plan didn't fit well with the wishes of the players... Ya win some, ya lose some I guess--and I think the devs hate losing as much as we all do.

My question is, now that we're now being teased with these cool new combat droids... When will be actually be able to use them?! And better yet, make them (and lots of credits)???? Devs, no one likes a tease!

and finally, my first experience making a combat droid. I was so excited to get it done, working my way through all the complexity and different parts and resources....the excitement lasted till oneof my good friends came over to see it...then we looked at each other and asked "What are we supposed to do with this now??"... Hours later and I still don't know :-/

Howdy all,

First of all, this isn't intended to be a rant, just an honest question. I'm a brand new DE master--brought into the fold by a holo, but planning on staying if the business is good-- I've been surprised by the complexity of the profession and am enjoying it so far.

Question: There were supposed to be CL10 droids in this publish right? Where are they??

The Answer: They're impossible to make--at least how I see it and someone please prove me wrong.

One of the Devs said that it would take 10 perfect Combat modules to make a CL10 droid. Fine. The problem is there are no droid schematics that call for 10 combat modules. The closest we get is the Probot and R2 at 5 (a cluster and 2 modules) and the R3 at 6 (2 combat clusters).

I spent my first day as a master DE making the best probot I could make. The result, a bit over 1k HAM, dmg 147-157, combat rating like 500 or so (<---Does that refer to CL5?)

Anyways, I was really wondering what ppl are using as their best combat droids.

Thanks for any info guys,

Okay, now I'm more confused...

I look in my datapad and it says my probot is diff. lvl 13....

Any ideas why? and how I can control it if it is?

As far as i can tell, all droids are now level 13, whether they have combat modules installed or not. All of my pre-patch crafting droids call as level 13 too, even the ones with 45 HAM.

As for combat clusters, I believe they said that 6 modules would make the most powerful droid (the R3 is the only one that can take 6)

But my real problem is they gave combat capabilites to the R series droids, but not BLLS? Or how about the battle droids I saw in Theed last night? No, I dont want to be able to make droids with 133k HAM. But how about letting me make the chassis with 2k HAM?

Droid invasion? Sorry it was just another slap in the face to the DE profession, the worst crafting profession in the game.
