Thread: New master looking for advice
I have Master Artisan and Buildings 1 in architect so my reliance on other classes should be minimal. However, i'm looking to the DE folks here to help me out in a few things.
1) I'm trying to get an idea on what the top sellers are for DE's. I know there are a lot of BH's out there who require Arakyd probe droids and such for their missions. And with my guild focusing on the hunting of Jedi recenly, I'd like to provide this for them. I also know that med droids are in fairly high demand but that's about where i get fuzzy. What else do you guys sell quite frequently?
2) I was bummed to find that the price list spreadsheet up top was a broken link. I realize that prices are different per server but coming from an old school armorsmith background, i know there are certain calculations smiths make when determining price. Would any of you established DE's be able to share with me your method for determining price? I'd be very appreciative.
3) What else do you guys do to suppliment your income? I'm doing DE primarily because i think it's a fun profession that allows a smith type profession to experiment with a number of different ideas for a droid. Whereas most armorsmiths are only making composite armor these days, I find that DE's have a lot more versatility and will have a lot more with the coming patch. So... What else do you guys make that you find sells well?
Thank you in advance,
this is a good site for a rought idear of prices:-

Heya honey! Firstly, welcome /wave ![]()
Secondly, I’m sure you’ll get a mass of differing responses but I find my 2 most popular droids (by about a 12 parsecs) are the following:
‘AR2X - The Professional’ (Adv. R2 Chassis) ??k
-MAX Armour
-Lvl6 10 item storage module
-Master Crafted General Crafting Station
-Master Crafted Food/Chem Crafting Station
-Master Crafted Structure Crafting Station
-Master Crafted Clothing Crafting Station
‘R2Si - The Surgeon’ (Std. R2 Chassis) ??k
-MAX Armour
-Lvl6 10 item storage module
-Master Crafted Food/Chem Crafting Station
-Lvl6 110 Medical module
These will change on Tuesday to Advanced R3's with 3 stimpack dispensers and a hefty price increase
I'm thinking of calling them M*A*S*H* droids, but I haven't decided yet if that's a little obscure.
Now I’ve left the prices off because price questions turn into flaming rows at the drop of a restraining bolt
so I’d advise against asking publicly. I’m not a well known MDE on Chimaera but I do have a lovely stall and very well documented products and my vendor is always heavily stocked, that way I sell about 2 each of these units a day.
To Kardia, wow you don't want much do you honey... weeeeeell how about this in answer to your questions:
Now Tuesday will see the new patch which will increase all droid HAM's dramatically so you might want to wait 'till then (although old deeded droids get the new HAM increases but they don't show that on the deed). Top sellers as of the Tuesday patch will then grow to include
LE repair droids filled with combat modules (good tank droids);
Advanced R3's filled with combat modules (best all rounders);
Advanced Probots filled with combat modules (great for ranged help);
entertainer droids, bit debateable but I intend to do the following:
One R3 Advanced entertainer droid #1
2 x Playback module
Mind bloom
Electric Fog
Foam
Confetti
One R3 Advanced entertainer droid #2
2 x Playback module
Mind bloom
Electric Fog
Avian
Jawa
Then advanced MSE's with 2 selfdestruct modules for BH's and smugglers. There are others of course but these should set you on your way. As a final note honey if you intend to sell combat droids then start making stim pack's (D's if you can make decent ones) ASAP 'cos a combat droid is infinitely better if backed up by a friendly owner ![]()
hold on I'll have to split the post a bit...
Now these are all the special resources that are required for DE's, those in blue are new from patches 7&8. The initial codes are A: You WILL use tonnes of this stuff get lots. B You'll use this for droids but not so often or in such quantities as A's. C for popular modules or modules that require a lot of resources. D for less popular modules or modules that use less resources. E you won't need these, they're generally for things like reconstruction kits or data storage modules, useless.

ok, but that doesn't tell me how to make 1, i made a droid, and it doesn't attack anything, it just looks at me, and i programed it, it took me 2 hours to make this droid.
Plz help, how do you make droid correctly and how the heck do you make it so that it will attack something

ok, I am on the naturis server. I have manage to make my combat droid fight, it took me another hour to make it. Now what i need to learn how to do is to stack module and combat modules. How is the done an what are teh restricts, are hams based on resouces quality. and what does the combat cluster module do.
Thanks kardia
Confused Master DE
Combat modules go into combat clusters (3 of) and into normal (non cluster) slots, so an R3 can have 2 combat capable clusters (6 combat modules) and a Probot 1 combat capable cluster (3) and 2 seperate combat modules for a total of 5.
Normal (utility) modules will fit into combat capable clusters as well as normal clusters, but combat modules will not fit into normal clusters. Its all to do with making sure which droids are combat capable or not, and is a horrid implementation. Combat clusters will only fit into combat capable droids, as will combat modules. Study the schematics and it should be clear enough.
HAM is entirely based on thefinal construction into deed form, and the OQ of the chemical is the key, however you must experiment on Effectiveness and nothing else.
Hope that helps
<edit for clarification>
