Bear with me I'm doing this from memory. There are 4 types you have to remember. Combat Socket, General Socket, Combat module andGeneral module. Here is how they interact.

The COMBAT SOCKET will accept both COMBAT MODULES and GENERAL MODULES (like medical 6, Item storage or crafting station. The GENERAL SOCKET wil only acceptGENERAL MODULES.

Now, some droids will accept COMBAT SOCKETS like the R2 R3 and LE Repair, while others only accept a GENERAL SOCKET , such as the Protocol. But remember anything you can put in to a GENERAL SOCKET can also be put in to a COMBAT SOCKET.

Here is an example of how this works. Lets say you want to make an R3 with combat capabilities, a crafting station, a Medical 6 module, and a 10 item storage module.

Make a COMBAT SOCKET, put 3 combat modules in it. Make another COMBAT SOCKET, but this time instead of putting combat modules in it, put in your crafting station, med 6 and item storge modules. Now you have 2 COMBAT SOCKETS, 1 has combat capabilities, the other has your general modules in it. Use these in the final deed since it can accept 2 COMBAT SOCKETS.

Just remember this. Combat Sockets can accept any module. But can only be used in droids that can accept Combat sockets. Otherwise, use General Sockets.

you forgot the defensive sockets modules. lol

your information is basicly correct. More advanced droids that have more than 2 sockets require the clusters. If the cluster is in a comabt ready droid (any astromech, theLE repiar, the DZ70 and probot) then it has to be a combat cluster. both are in box 4 of the first tree.

Not to be groffy but i don't understand what you mean. There are combat modules and clusters. How do i stack the modules do i can the max combat stats.

Also is the only defense we have in droid is armor segments.

OK heres what I think you want to know. To do actual damage, a droid must have at least 1 COMBAT MODULE installed. Either by itself, or with other COMBAT MODULES in a COMBAT SOCKET. The more overall COMBAT MODULES a droid has, the more damage it will do. 3 combat modules in a combat cluster will do approx 50-60 damage attack speed of 1.5 seconds, this assumes the modules themselves have a combat rating of around 100 (determined by experimentation). A droid with 6 combat modules (only possible in an R3) will do damage of approx 160-170 speed 1.5. Oddly enough a Probot with 5 combat modules does 150-160 damage, but has an attack speed of .73.

When you go to make a droid, Combat Socket is at the very top of the list. While Combat module (the actual weapon if you like) is listed right under droid brain. Hope this helps.

ok, what i did was i made a droid with a combat module in a cluster, but did not make it with a combat moduel in the root of the droid it was in teh chasis of a probot.

This droid does not attack anything but look at me with pretty eyes. Then i made another droid with a combat module in the root of the droid instead of the cluster. It i possble to only put the combat modules in the cluster and not in the root of the droid. Or to only put it in the chasis and not the droid it self.

Combat modules and clusters only go into the final assembly of a droid, after the chassis is complete. Its all in the last assembly..nowhere else can you include them.

Of course you have to have a combat capable droid in the first place..but if you can put a combat module into it in the final assembly you should be ok

so long as its a combat capable droid yes.

No good putting it anywhere near a power droid, but an LE, an R series, a Probot..no problem

Did you programme the attack command? It's not set by default, so you have toprogramme it in first.
