Hi all,

I am new to the game (well a few weeks new anyway) and I LOVE DROIDS! I currently have a probot for my attack assistant but I was wondering if there wasnt a droid that "packed more punch". My probot dose ruffly 110-160 damage wich isnt a rancor stopper but dose help some and provides amusement for me during battle. I try to never let the droid tank since 1083 hps goes down very fast without good armor so the droid Im looking for dosent need to be a great tank but at least 1k hps so it stays up long enough to get thru a fight if he dose happen to agro something.

THANKS in advance!

Thank you for calling, all the DEs are busy anxiously awaiting the new publish, when the HAM, and dmg for all our droids will be recalculated... AGAIN. Your probot is about as good as it gets now, but when things go live today we may have something better. Until then please enjoy some light music...[cue light music] or leave a message at the tone. BEEEEP

an advanced R3 with a combat rating of 600 (max avail) is probably your best bet. AFAIK it's the best we can do right now. you'll get 1400-1600 ham on those as well.

I stock those on my vendor (but I'm on bria).

Ahh... yes.. the question of "which is the best".

Since I'll remain as true as is possible to the Star Wars EU, I'll not be building any combat chassis other than the Probot and DZ70... Am I likely to lose customers? Certainly... do I care... Not at all.

Yes... yes... I know... even the Probot was not supposed to be combat-capable... but, since that is whatSWG startedwith, that is what I'll distribute. My opinion is that Astromechs should not be utilized as combat units, with one exception (which the developers will probably never code)... If a smuggler 'slices'an existing chassis, thereby overiding it's default "thou shalt not kill" programming, then a DE couldfinish manufacturing the astromech with the appropriate combat modules.

However,ifthe"sliced/altered" astromech is detected by Imperial patrols, it should be subject to attack and permanent destruction by Imperial forces and the owner subject to serious fines (if neutrally-aligned, Imperially-aligned or Rebel-Covert) and/or pursuit and termination.

just my .02cr worth

- Account: Master TKA (cancelled)
- Account: Master Doctor (cancelled)
- Account: Smuggler (cancelled)
- Account: Master Chef (cancelled)
- Account: Master Droid Engineer (activity suspended pending developments)
Total loss of annual revenue (SOE): ~$715US to ~$900US
- Bad press: Priceless
Should Sony and Lucas Arts be worried? (15000 users * 5 accts = ~$13MIL in potential lost gross annual revenue) If I were the CEO for either LA or SOE, I would certainly be worried.
