I just made a big batch of DSCs for local Architects, and was queried as to the minerals used and my experimentation success. Ican check what I used to make these, and I maxed out my Master DE experimentation points, but I'm pretty certain that materials used and experimentation performed does nothing for the final quality.

That's the way it is with the entire DE line, but I wanted toconfirm this with my fellow DEs. Please let me know if there is any variance in DSCs based on mineral quality or experimenting. Thanks.

Droid Storage Compartments are strange - for me, at least, they used Artisan Experimentation instead of DE experimentation. I.e. as a human Master Artisan I had 11 experimentation points to use on them. With ~990 OQmetal I'm able to experiment them up to 99% easily, but I'm not sure what effect this has. Nothing shows up on the finished product description, and my architect friend with whom I was experimenting is on vacation, hehe. I'm curious about this too. =)

On this ocaasion, it matters completely. The Droid Storage compartments aren't handled the same way that the rest of the class items are. The Experimentation points are recieved from Artisan and not DE. Ever notice that you get 10 boxes of Experimention and not the normal 5 that you get with Master DE?

I've tested this out a couple of times, since I have Novice Architect as well. I took all of the optional parts used to make Private crafting stations and made them using the best Droid Storage Compartments that I could make, using 956 OQ Metal, with an Effective Experimentation of 95%, an compared them to Compartments made with 120 OQ Metal. The difference is vastly noticible. We are talking a matter of about 3-5 points off the rating of the crafting station.

On Shadowfire, I use resources that have a minimum of 905 OQ, most being in the 950 OQ range, and I can make 40.xx Crafting stations when I use all of the best materials, including Droid storage compartments. I've only wasted all of the good stuff on 1 station, using Droid Storage Compartments with a really horrid Effective Experimentation and the rating of the station dropped to a 35.xx rating, with 99% Experimentaiton effectiveness on the Crafting station. The Droid Storage compartments where the only item that I used that was any differently.....

Ah, excellent, thanks for the response. Sounds like 99% experimented DSCs will be the way to finally get my friends' crafting stations into the 40+ range. =)
