Thread: MSE Droids as Messengers and Delivery Droids
I'd like to see MSE droids useful for delivering items and/or messages.
Basically, you build a MSE Droid with Item and/or Data Storage, and maybe some sort of Seeker-droid functionality. You drop an item into the Droid, or a bit of data, then choose "Deliver" from the radial menu. You are prompted for the recipient's name, and if that person is on the planet, the MSE will seek them out, deliver the stuff, then return. If the recipient leaves the planet or logs out, the MSE will return with a "Delivery failed" message.
Advanced MSEs can do the job better, by having a longer range and armor to better survive hostile encounters along the way.
Thoughts?
very smart...not only have it deliver goods to others but also allow it to monitor harvesters from afar (feed it a way point and it will go and empty the harvester and return with the minerals)
also a droid that can pick up goodspurchasedin bazaars all over the galaxy (that way you use up the same cost in ticket but never leave your planet to get the goods you buy galaxy wide)
I like this idea alot, however, this is where I want some realism
Not much, just a tad. For delivering messges. A MSE is great. However for delivering items, let bump it up to one of the R# droids. Serisouly .. think about the movies
.. How big is a mouse droid. For gathering harvestros, I love the idea .. however .. Binary Load Lifter, tada ... its not like the lifter is doing anything useful anyway ![]()

Interesting. Great ideas like this come from people shelling out $11.00+ per month to play this game.Meanwhile, thedesignpeople getting payed $110.00+ per hour are still trying to figure out how to program their VCR's.

Heh. Well, they may be getting payed more or even less then this -- I've seen some strange compensation for "talent" in the game industry. I was merely adding a "0" to the end of 11 to help exaggerate the point.

Hmm... I think I'll have to rethink my planned Resume submission to SOE... My time is far more valuable and productive than to settle for for a mere $110/hour
