for example, droid armor module 5 and 6. I am a master DE. I am using a specialized toolkit and in front of a public crafting station. What's the deal?

You need a private crafting station or a droid equiped with a crafting module.

I'm not yet master, but I noticed this too... why? Is this a bug, or is it how they intended it?

I have a similar problem sometimes with speeder deeds. I'll be standing in my house in front of my private crafting station and it just won't show up. Usually I have to get out of range of my crafting station and come back and re-open the tool to get them to show up. I /bugged it since I assumed it was a random bug. Not sure if I'm having the same problem with any of my droid parts though, since I don't know enough yet to know when I"m missing something

This is as-intended, so you would eventually use player-crafted stations.

I ran into this problem too, turns out the public stations only show up to 25 complexity (i think), Now I use my BLL with crafting station or my private one at home.
