Thread: Best stats for Combat Modules?
That is correct, 100% experimentation = 110 combat rating. In a Probot, you get damage of 160-170, speed .73 from 5 of those modules. But, with 5 modules with a combat rating of 91 will give you Probot with damage of 145-155 speed .73. Not much of a difference.
In fact from eperimentation I learned that a combat module with a rating of 80 has the same speed as a combat rating of 110. And the damage while lower is not sufficiently lower to make a difference. I have yet to see any difference in the to hit value with better or worse combat modules, they all seem to be around 0.3.
To my knowledge a Combat Module experimented to 100% will have a Combat Rating of 110. What damage it does depends on what droid its fitted to. A probot with a Maxed out combat Rating of 550 have different combat stats (Dmg, attk spd etc)to an R2 or R3 with the same combat rating.
Hmm 'The other number' I think is 'Mechanical Quality'?,cant remember quite whats its called & cant check cause Im at work, howeverbasically the higher the number the more complex and more refined the item is. This number is increased by Experimenting on the itemon and by using High qualtity Resources, this number can also be negative, meaning really its substandard. Mech Quality also affects how long the item is taken to be produced in a Factory.
Hope this helps

Robotdonut, that's what I've experienced too. A few weeks ago, I started out to test if brain quality had any effect, but when I looked at all my data, I was suprised to find that speed and "to hit" was not a function of the modules, but of final HAM experimentation instead. I then made some droids without any combat modules, and what do you know, speed and "to hit" were still listed and tracked right along with the results from the droid that had combat modules. My guess is that these stats were separated from the modules because combat capable droids without combat modules can still attack, though they only do one point of damage per hit.
It's an interesting thing, but doesn't change how I experiment my droids since everyone wants the highest HAM possible as well as damage. /shrugs

...and a quick reprint:
------------
This thread got me to thinking and I started looking at the stats I've collected on my own droids. It struck me that the To-Hit and Speed were lower onmy newer Probot with better modules. I'll only reprint the stats for my DZ70s and Probots, since I don't have enough comparables for the other chassis.
