Thread: Stupid question dismiss

So after the problem of med modules affecting wound heals even in the med center, and stims out in the field, I figured I'd support my local droid engineer and bought a new decked out surgical droid, 110 med module, plus others.

So it's different from my R5, I gotta converse to teach him stuff, not a problem.

I see the dismiss option and assume I can store it without having to go to the datapad. I do that and the droid is gone. Not in my pad, never a popup saying "are you sure you want to dismiss ...".

Is there really an easy to hit button without a confirmation that makes droids disappear? Sucks as a poor doc

Bueller?

I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but confirmation would be nice

Yes! It's a wonderful new tool the Devs have given us to allow a lot more return business!! They removed the "Store" option..and at the same time added the "Dismiss" option all without telling us about it! This means that many, many, many buyers destroyed their droids whilst trying to store them!

Wasn't that a nice gift from the Devs? Heh, and you people say the devs ignore our class...BAH!

for future reference:

the option to store the droid is reached by going to the radial menu of the droid in the data pad.

as a CH, i Never teach my pet's the release command til I'm ready to move on.

as a DE, I don't program the release command til i'm ready to move on. Odd that they put in a 'dismiss' in the radial menu...that seems unnecessary to me.

Not odd to me...

If I was a developer, and I was having database problems due to too many items being created in the world, these are some of the things that I would implement:

1. Implement a "bug" that prevents factories from being utilized more than a few times a day (if that).

2. Increase the decay rate on items such as... mmm... lets say, weapons.

3. Fubar the bazaar and vendors so people have a hard time initializing them.

4. Implement code that randomly deletes items that have been put up for sale.

5. Place a misleading command on droids that sounds like it will put the droid back into the owner's datapad... but instead deletes the droid forever.

6. Oh... I would also implement perma-death.

Yah, thats what I would do if I was in their shoes.

:/

Something smells fishy here and I dont think it is the Mon Calamari!
