Thread: An Idea to make Perma death a little easier.
Ok you just bought that DZ70 or Probot and took it out in combat and maybe you weren't watching that health bar or said better the droid then me and the droid bites it. Right now all you can say is "Well that was a waste", But what if after your bot bought it you could salvage a busted frame?
As everyone knows near the end of Episode IV, Vader blasts poor R2 with a TIE Laser cannon (don't see how he wasn't blasted to more pieces, but it gave me this idea.) and the Rebellion Droid Engineers patched him back up.
What if Droid engineers could take all these busted droid frames that everyone is losing and either had to replace the frame and a component or two (motive, sensors, etc...) I would suggest that certain parts (Medical, Storage, Crafting station, etc...) not be destroyed as it would infringe on the Droids arespecialist"Vision" Sony has. This could provide a huge boon for All DE's. First Low Level DE's could get the ability and EXP to repair droid rather then just grind away. Two our customers would feel they are getting a better bargain for thier purchase. Why buy a droid that is going to poof then a pet that all I have to do is heal it back? Third provide an option to recycle the busted frames and get some of our hard earned materials back. That way we can use those to make new bots.
These are just some ideas that may at least help us DE's compete with our other brothers and sisters in crafting land. This could be useful in other areas. Imagine if you could attack a Rebel or Imperial City? Damage their buildings and have to have an Architectcome in and repair things??
Just my 2 creds
