Thread: Experimention?

Is it worthwhile to experiment Droid items? I figure at the very least, the crafting station modules would need to be experimented. Is that correct? If so, does it also apply to say an Adv. Probot or lvl 6 armor module? Sorry for the questions and thanks for your time!

I would not reccomend spending your time on experimetation. It adds nothing to the end result as far as I've seen. It's something that needs a little work still =).

Wait, i can make a probot with 823 HAM, vice the 819-820 that I get without experimenting... not sure if that's going to help out any...

Actually, if you take that robot out, target him, and put your cursor over his HAM bars, you'll notice that it is still 810. Even though the description will way more, all probots have the same HAM. So experimentation does not even work for those 3-4 more points.

The other funny thing I have noticed on experimenting is if I exp on the top bar I cant remember what it is, something duribility? Anyways if I put all my points in there no matter what I always get a amazing success, but none of the boxes are yellow afterwords and there is no differance on the final product. I just get a kick out of amazing success every single time, but usually when you get that the bars stay yellow, anyone else get this?

I only experiment on crafting stations and armor even though its pointless.

Durability (I think it's this, the top barin most schematics) on droids is one of things that can no longer be experimented on but shows up anyway. They forgot to remove it I guess, hehe. Since it always starts at 0% you can't experiment on it - experimentation works as a multiplier of some sort, and anythingtimes zero is zero. =)

But does experimentation count on crafting modules? I always get people that want high bonus crafting stations in their droids, but you need to experiment the effectiveness up to 50% to get it do zero. However, does this really matter once the droid is built? There's no way to see how good the crafting station is on a droid once the droid is built (Deed or Tamed), or, for that matter, that there's even one in there.

I've had 3 different people tell me that they noticed their droid crafting station is more reliable/better than their private one. There is no rating on the modules so experimenting is friutless. I don't really exp unless I'm really bored, and these testimonies where from modules that I did not experiment on.

I read on the forums somewhere at some point that there are three levels of crating stations.

1. Public - THe least "powerful" of the crafting stations.

2. Private - THe sencond best, with variable bonus

3. Droid - The best. No variable on bonus, jsut max, EOS

I am fixin to delete the one in my house as I do FAR better with the one on my Probot. I have heard from other customers that they have noticed a significant increase in droid cs over any others. Please, keep in mind I ahve NO data to back this up and since I am at work (not really working, heh) I dont ahve time to search the forums.

If you use a private crafting station and craftfor examplea droid storage compartment, you canuse 6 droid experimentation points. But if I use a droid crafting station I get 11 experimentation points...

Graige ,

Ok heres the deal you got to be close to a crafting station of the same type as the tool you are useing in order to experiment.

Next you make the piece as normal except when it come to the choice of either creating a prototype, schematic, or experiment . You select experiment.

Then you have a set number of yellow bars ( points ) you can experiment with depending on your skill in experimentation.

And on the right is 2, 3, 4, lines of hexagonal shaped little boxes in a line with a % oiut to the left telling you how good that certain stat is.

Now to spend a "point" you click one of the hexes to turn it yellow and select run experiment at the bottom.

Either it will crit fail and put the stat to a lower amount than it was originally or it will fail or it will be a sucess of some sort.

Anyway it will change that stat in some way. Usualy the main stat that i try to raise is the efficiency as the durability is fooked and dont do anything.

On weapons it is the damage stat i try to raise.

But anyway that is how you experiment and use those "points" to make a better item.

The public crafting stations only let you have access to lower schematics and the priviate one for your house let you access the higher lvl schematics plus give you more "points" to spend.

I have heard that the crafting stations in droids are the best and allow the most "points" but i am not really sure of this yet i havent really paid that much attention since DE experimantation is totally useless.

Anyway i hope this helps you and answers you questions

OK, I'm gonna throw a completely newb question out... How exactly does one expiriment on items while crafting? I know you get the 3 lines/boxes when crafting and that there are percentages in there. But what I don't know is what that means. Does it mean the item was already expirimented on? Does it mean I can expiriment on the item? I'm relatively new to crafting and far from being a power gamer so I apologize for my newbish question but if someone could clue me in, I'd be grateful.
