I ran across the original version of this thread and wanted to see if what people are able to make a little over a year later. (That and I think I have bragging rights)

I'll start it off.

Ya know, I really don't have bragging rights after all.

/waves hand

None of you saw me even mention bragging rights.

I'm starting to wonder if the Kits were bumped up in power, and no one every really noticed, or we all had really horrid resources back then. What is funny/sad, is thatI have 950 or so of those puppies, just chilling on a vendor or in a facotry, gathering dust really, on Test Center.

It was just the change in how resources are considered in the craft (stat caps).
Prior to the change, I could get say 80% on energy on the final build, but can now get 93% with the same resources.

I havn't had problems with them working either. Yea Drashk, whatObo says is right, it's the different way resources are looked at now.

I was able to get 42 charge, 2270 power on the stim D using the same resources I used to make 40/1700ish(pre-cu).

I think they upped the power on droid stims a little.

I haven't had any problem using them with my crafter(lvl1) or my alt(lvl80).

They work perfectly fine, but there are 3 issues that may have occured to make people believe otherwise.

  1. Range - The range of use on the kits is under 10 meters. In most cases you must be with 5 meters of the droid in order to use the Droid Repair Kit.

  2. Targetting - You must actually target the droid in order to use the Droid Repair Kit. As simple as this may sound, I've run into a few people who thought that the Repair Kit would automatically repair the droid, since you can only have one droid out at a time.

  3. Incapped - You can't heal a droid once it is incapped. In order to bring the droid back to 'life' you must not be in combat and you must use the Incap Recovery radial menu. The only issue that I have had with this ability is that sometimes the droid/pet will not instantly get up. When this happens, issue it a follow command and the droid/pet will pick itself back up again.

Good point. I forgot that named resources tend to be looked at differently now, in the crafting system change.

They do work (use them myself a good bit), but I think when the droid gets incapped odd things start to happen. You end up having to call the droid again before they start working again.
