Ok,
I have seen what you write in your FAQ and it seems helpful.
The problem is: I still don't really know everything a droid can do for me, what I can have in one droid and so on. Droids are cool that's for sure. But I never owned one. For the simple reason that whenever I asked a droid engineer to craft me one she asked me what exactly I want, and the answer was always "I don't know". Found out more by accident, that a droid can include a crafting station, which is incredibly useful. None of the DE's I know had something like this on the pricing list.
So basically I would like to ask you to make a noob proof game guide, that helps people that don't know anything about droids but what they have seen in movies a booklet (with images, cusomization examples) that explain in detail and with examples what a droid can do, what is fun about droids, what I need to include in an order and so on.
Secondly I would like to ask you for personal help *wink*
I am intending to drop master dancer and the template I am going for is Artisan 0440, Entertainer 0044, Master Dancer, Master Tailor, Master Pilot and a bit of merchant. I need a droid that helps me crafting, surveying (by protecting me or doing it for me), an astromech droid as long as I don't have the A-Wing I intend to fly, can store LOTS of thing, is funny and may know some effects. Is it even possible that I can program a droid to fly my ship to a certain location or deliver stuff to a friend on the same planet?
I cannot have all of this in one droid I guess, but as far I know one can have up to five droids. It is important to me that the droid is funny to talk to if possible, since droids were more than tools but funny mechanical fellows in the movies.
So, now what shall I tell my favourite droid engineer?

Check out www.droidworx.homestead.com to start.
As far as a noob-proof Droid guide, there is the Droid 101 thread stickied at the top. It has been a topic of recent discussion actually. While it's infinitly useful to a DE, and those that know about Droids already, it's not as useful for someone who is not a DE and clueless, so-to-speak (no offense intended). I'm not 100% positive on if it's in the works or not, but I think there is going to be a Users Guide of sorts built in the not too distant future. In the meantime, that clicky I posted at the top should help you out alot.
A quote from your post here, and I'll answer each part in yellow text.
I am intending to drop master dancer and the template I am going for is Artisan 0440, Entertainer 0044, Master Dancer, Master Tailor, Master Pilot and a bit of merchant.
I'm guessing this was a typo of sorts... you're dropping Master Dancer, but your template includes Master Dancer. I'm going to *assume* that you meant you're dropping Master Musician. That being the case, I will adjust accordingly. I will also give a Musician option at the end of all of this.
I need a droid that helps me crafting, surveying (by protecting me or doing it for me), an astromech droid as long as I don't have the A-Wing I intend to fly, can store LOTS of thing, is funny and may know some effects.
Crafting stations will help you with crafting. For what you're intending to take, a W/D/G CS, Food/Chemical CS, and Clothing CS would suit you. A Combat droid can be one of several models, and does not need to be restricted to just combat... though the more it's dedicated to it, the better it will be at it. 10 items is the max *any* droid can store. Only certain droids can have a personality chip, and those are the humanoid models. Unfortunately, they don't really converse, can't be named, and can only hold a small number of modules. There are 6 different Effects modules that can be used by a Dancer or Musician. I'll cover AstroMechs and Surveying at the end.
Is it even possible that I can program a droid to fly my ship to a certain location or deliver stuff to a friend on the same planet?
At this time, no. None of that is possible.
I cannot have all of this in one droid I guess, but as far I know one can have up to five droids.
That is correct, on both counts.
It is important to me that the droid is funny to talk to if possible, since droids were more than tools but funny mechanical fellows in the movies.
You'll find that lots of DE's here feel exactly the same way about what you just said. Unfortunately, they're not those things.
So, now what shall I tell my favourite droid engineer?
Ok. As promised, I'm going to talk now about Musician, AstroMechs, and Surveying.
First, Musicians have a special module called a Playback Module. It allows the musician to record 1 song in the instrument of choice, and when the musician plays that song the droid will duet. Additional modules allow the droid to change songs with the musician, as long as it's a recorded song.
Second, the only way a droid can help with surveying is a special Surveying Droid. This is a charged item (limited uses) that you essentially launch into space and it surveys for you. However there are 2 things to note. 1) It consumes a survey tool from your inventory (gone forever) for the specific type of resource you want (mineral, chemical, etc) for each use. 2) Ya know that list you see of resources on the right-hand side when you first open up your survey tool? THAT is what the survey droid does. It returns that list for whatever planet you sent it to. It does not return WP's, %'s, or stats.
Lastly, AstroMechs. These are dependant on having a Data Module installed in them. The level of the Data Module determines what skill in Pilot you musthave to use it in your ship. This is determined by the HIGHEST Data Module rating(s) in the droid, so stacking means a higher required level. You only want 1Data Module of the appropriate level per droid.Once a Data Module (or any module for that matter) is installed, it cannot be changed.
So...... now what does all that mean to you? Well, here's a list of droids that might suit everything you wanted.
R3 (6 modules) for CRAFTING:
W/D/G Crafting Station
Clothing Crafting Station
Food / ChemicalCrafting Station
Item 6 Module (holds 10 items)
Data (1-6) Module (allows you to use it as an AstroMech - plus allows you to hold Manufacturing Schematics, 150 max at Data 6)
Combat Module (gives limited ability to fight - just enough to help you get out of harms way and get help)
Max Armor (has it's own slots)
R3 (6 Modules) for COMBAT:
Combat Module
Combat Module
Combat Module
Combat Module -or - Auto Repair (allows droid to heal itself and other nearby droids a small amount per module)
Combat Module -or - Auto Repair -or- Item 6 -or- Data (1-6)
Combat Module -or - Auto Repair -or- Item 6 -or- Data (1-6)
Max Armor (has it's own slots)
6 combat modules gives it more fighting power, but Auto Repair allows it to heal itself somewhat. Either way, get repair kits and batteries from your DE as you'll need them to heal your droid in combat, and to keep him going. Auto Repairs eat through a droids battery quickly.
R3 (6 Modules) for DANCER / MUSICIAN:
Effect Module (your choice of type) -or- Playback Module
Effect Module (your choice of type) -or- Playback Module
Effect Module (your choice of type) -or- Playback Module
Effect Module (your choice of type) -or- Playback Module
Effect Module (your choice of type) -or- Playback Module -or- Item 6 -or- Data (1-6)
Effect Module (your choice of type) -or- Playback Module -or- Item 6 -or- Data (1-6)
Protocol Droid (2 Modules) for AMUSEMENT:
Item 6
Merchant Barker Module (IF you take Merchant Advertising 3 - if you don't have that skill the module won't work) -or- Module of choice
Personality Chip (your choice of type - has it's own slot)
And that still leaves you with 1 more droid, which you can decide on at a later time. Some may disagree with how I have setup these droids, but those are my personal opinions of what would help you. In the end it's *your* choice and decision.
Hope this helps ya out.
[Edit: Fixed some typos and made a couple small aesthetic adjustments]

Thanks helps very much.
Not read the website yet but seems helpful to find out which combat modules might be good...
The protocol droid might be a good help to annoy people *mad laughter* and the skills should be possible to get (Though I am calculating on the edge).
The profession I am dropping is my only combat profession... fencer. (Fencer and dancer sounds somehow familiar, so it happens I confuse it) and brawler 1402.
Thanks for the help!

Oh, yet another question:
Modules cannot be replaced by a DE once it is build, can they?
Would be nice to exchange the data storage modules for the astromech as I rise in levels... otherwise I will just buy one for the highest level and use it 'til then, hoping it possible to do the quest so far.

No, they cannot.

You'd rather replace modules in a droid instead of selling another droid?
/boggle
The need to update/replace the droid is a good thing for us (in terms of repeat business).

If you buy a Level 6 Data module-built droid (or Level 6 Flight Computer), you won't be able to use it with your ship until you're a Master Pilot.
So, I wouldn't advise this.
If you want to use droid commands on your way to Master, you'll have to get something that matches your Astromech (Flight Computer) cert. level. If you don't, no commands.

Well...
Guess in that case my astromech will be just a base R5 with a single data module. I mean, I rise up real fast through pilot and won't take longer than one or two weeks until I am master.
Pilot seems to be real easy to grind so far... became pilot 1111 after less than two hours playing.

Yeah... but that's only 8k exp per box. Take a look at the requirements for the rest of them, especially master.
Things won't go as quickly as you think.

Once you hit the tier 2 trainer, you will see an increase in difficulty and XP requirements. Tier 3 becomes even more difficult and you will more then likely find out that you will need someone to fly as your wingman, unless you are a flying ace in real life.
In all honesty, a Level3 Astromech will last you a decent amount of time. It has enough space to add all of the Tier 1 Droid Programs from all three professions, with room to spare, and will give you enough time to grow as a pilot.
