Some one from the JTL forum commented on autopilot on ships are useless cause it dosnt work if you get up from flying. another person suggested a droid pilot, here was my sugestion.
Which made me come up with another idea, repair droids for inside ships. I know i think i heard someone else mention it before but i wanted to bring it back.A owner of a multi ship could have a genaric component slotthat can hold a special feature for the ship like repair driod housing compartment. so that if the ship starts tobe damagedthe droid springs to life likeonqueen amidala ship when the ship was damaged. this would augment the shipsmantinencein long fire fights, cause i heard you can fix a multi ship in flight i could be wrong though. this would require the droid to haverepair module with a repair tool dispencer or a hopper in the ship to load repair kits into.

i see this limited to master pilots at this moment. but not a bad idea none the less. if there were to be a few more multi ships with interiors in lower levels this could be a awsome addition to the game, Count Dooku in episode 2 had a droid that piloted for him. If additional ships are added you could call your droid within your ship tell him totake the controls, then give the droid a wp and off you go. this could also have varius versions of autopilot droids ones low end fly straight avoid obsticals, defensive ones that try to avoid enemy fire, military combat one that will fly after ships firing on you so you can man guns, etc, etc.

if anybody have any ideas on this please tack it on. we could use a few more JTL content items.
(i still a bit sad that there is only three ships that can use a R series droid

I wholeheartedly endorse the idea of a droid pilot, it shouldn't be that difficult to implement, since "Autopilot to..." is already a feature of flight.
A repair droid/ship repair module seems like an awesome, and incredibly useful function for pilots, and the closest thing to a must-have DEs can make. Does that disqualify it automatically?
