I'm thinking of starting out at 5k for a v1. Flight Computer and going up to 7.5k for a v2. FC.

I like that pricing. These things don't need specific resources, you don't need a whole lot of them, and you can't experiment on them (well, I don't know about the command module yet...).

Hey guys... while the pricing essentially fits the CPU...
Don't forget that these are NON-CONSUMABLE, 100% SWAPPABLE,and OPTIONAL. This means 2 things. 1) Once somebody buys a single computer of whatever level (say v2) they never need to buy a v2 ever again. Never ever. They can swap it in an out of any ship they own any time they want. They never degrade with combat or use.2) Apilot doesn't actually *need* one to fly and fight successfully. Iflew withoutin Beta because of power maint issues. I did very well. The point being, while it's extremely useful, it's a convenience only. It's the convenience and added utility to a starship that makes them desireable.
Pricing this low is essentially shooting yourself and other DE's in the foot. You are not going to be getting repeat customers. Ever. 3 ships is the max someone can own. 45k is what you will make off a single customer that buys one of each. That's less than most of us sell our higher-end droids for. *IF* they decide to buy a full set for each ship, that's still only 135k. 2 droids worth. The reality is that people likely won't have more than 1 each of v1 - v3, then 2 or 3 each of v4 - v6 making the total around 99k per full customer.
We've been left behind in the rest of the economy because of a lack of necessity, and lack of decay. Lets make our stand now and price these for what they're WORTH, which due to that they last forever, are 100% swappable, and provide great convenience is significantly higher.
I personally am selling my FC's for 10k per level and they're staying that way. That's more than worth it.

command modules dont matter either, all that happens is you program one chip for each command you can use base on your level then use it and it puts disk in your data pad, open up droids datapad and drag them into it, load into ship and off you go, dont forget to drag icons onto quick bar

ive been selling astromechs with data storage for 30k and up, everyonejust had to have an R2. i havent had any ppl come to me for flight computers yetbut i wasnt sure what to price them at.
astromechs cant be used in every ship but they can carry more mods than just the data and they require more resources than a flight computer. to methat justified the price i put on themhowever with flight computers,not that much resources are needed and theres noexperimenting or anything. its pretty generic.however serves the same function in a ship as an astromech.i thought about it, should i have 2 different prices for things that gave the same function, and i decided that no i shouldnt. both astromechs and flight computers start at 20k and up.

I'm sticking with
v1 = 5k
v2 = 7.5k
v3 = 10k
v4 = 12.5k
v5 = 15k
v6 = 20k
was thinkihg about 1k per chip.. but with all the problems I've been having with recient mobs spawn camping my factories.. may have to sell them 5k each
