Give up.
Seriously though, did they at least fix the droid not attacking mobs much higher than you?

LOL, as I said in another thread :
1. I don't even START to believe anything until it's in actual patch notes
2. I don't actually believe anything until I see it in-game
If I had a dime for how many times something has been in patch notes and not appeared in game, I'd have a year's free subscription...

FYI -
How will the combat system affect the non-combat folks doing FS quests and village visits? I'm still confused as to how I'm suppose to make my thrice-weekly trips without killing myself
You will need to get people to help you; your guild, friends or people you hire to help. Combat droids will also be more efficient in protecting you and can be used by any profession.

But more efficient than what?
Are they going to be more efficient than what they currently are?
Or more efficient than your pick up bodyguards who will get bored after half an hour of following you around, while you look for a mining site, and decide to attack whatever they see?
Do we have new spam in our future?
"Escort group to the village leaving in 5 min! PST!!"
"looking 4 escort grp! plz! will play 1 million!!1!"

I think I'm going to have to get an armoured landpseeder with a repulsor field on it to keep myself safe.

We have told them a million times and they refuse to listen. Bodyguards can't protect you from a one shot kill, 1k health, no armor, damage multipliers, your dead.
The only difference between a Pet or Droid bodyguard and a player bodyguard is you PAY the player bodyguard to stand there and watch you die.

Poetic as that may be, you CAN let PC bodyguards scout ahead and get rid of potential hostiles.

Hmm... not quite true i think...
Grouping with him should bump your group level up to his level (most likely lvl 80), and as there arent any MOBs with a level higher than 80 at least the modifier doesnt kick in...
And didnt they try to remove one shot kills ?
Tripple incap, 1k health and no armor stays a problem though

My guess is that we'll have to see miners having combat skills + survey in order to harvest on the advanced planets. Basically making it impossible for a pure crafter to do it all.

Pets do not affect group levels.
Dathomire is an advanced planet, meaning it is suppossed to challenge double elite combat people in groups. How many people are you suppossed to have "scout" for you ever 3 days going to cash in your merchant XP, tending your harvestors or whatever.
One shot kills were removed for PVP but still exist in PVE, very much so for crafters.
Sure you may be able to get people to help once in a while, but not nearly the amonut it will be needed. Where does a new player get the money to hire bodyguards anyway?

I was talking about PC bodyguards...they DO affect the group level...
For a guild crafter it should be no problem to find someone for the sole purpose to form a group (as the Group Level ignores the range between groupmembers the combat guy doesnt even need to follow you around), solo crafters are SOL ...
Hm.... AFK- Combat Bots?
placing a lvl 80 char somewhere for everyone to join the group...everyone gets the grouplevel...

Im pretty sure there was something about instant deathblow in the patch notes quite some time ago, dont think it was about PvP....
