I noticied that my probot does energy and my arakyd does kinetic.

Is damge type based on the droid .... or can it be adjusted by the DE and compontets.

Either way... what droids do what damage type... or how do you change it?

I'm so clueless when it comes to combat. How can you tell if it's doing energy or kinetic damage? I'm sure it's obvious, but like I said I'm clueless when it comes to combat.

If the droidss base attack is Melee, then the droid is doing Kinetic Damage. If the droid's base attack is Ranged, then the droid is doing Energy Damage.

The R-series of droids can do both Kinetic and Energy, depending on thier combat stance. I'm not 100% sure about the Probot and whether or not it switchs back and forth between the two.

Switch your combat spam to verbose. It should be listed there.

I "think" Probots are strictly Energy, but I'm not positive.

I dont think the ranged toggle is actually working. My probots seem to always be ranged and my astromechs seem to always be melee.

The toggle is not working.

The droids will decide to enter Melee or Ranged, at odd points. Probots will enter melee, or break melee, depending on the mob and who has aggro. The R Units will sometimes fire off a few ranged shots before entering melee.
