Thread: Quick question about the headless droid schematic and finished product.

I've taken a look around and had no luck in getting this question answered without posting so here we go:

A few nights back, I found a schematic for the headless droid on a vendor for 5k. I figured it would make a nice addition to my workshop area in my house. I learned the schematic and opened the datapad to see what all I needed to make the li'l guy. I found it amongst my schematics and noticed something odd. Next to the icon for it, in the upper right hand area was a little number 0. Now, since Skawn is my DE and my Arhcitect, I've seen this before and know this is used on containers.

So, I happily crafted the body and tried to open him up to see how many items I could put in him. Sadly, there is no option to open him in my inventory. So, I set him in place and tried targeting him and typed /open. It did pop open and let me see that he could hold 50 items but I was unable to drag anything into him.

So whats the deal? Are these supposed to function as a container and are just buged or are they supposed to be just a generic item and the listing of storage capacity is the bug?

Thanks for helping me on this guys!

Pretty sure the storage capacity is the bug.

What? A bug related to droids? Unheard of.

That's what was thinking but who knows with the Dev's we have...

In a sick sort of way, making it a container would be kinda neat. It'd be a fun place to store all the subcomp crates we have!

I beleave it's because it's considered Furniture. For some reason lots of furniture pretends like it has a capacity.

Yep. The headless droid is not intended to store anything. The 0/50 thing is a bug.

I wish you could put things in it, that'd be cool.

I got one tending the bar in the town's cantina atm Want to rename the cantina to "The Headless Droid"

I've heard that the headless droid will actually turn into a storage item when you put the head back on it. The head is given as a quest reward during a questthat starts with aprotocol droid outside the Moenia hotel. I've actually done the quest but I never tried to put the head back on the droid body, since I liked to idea of having both parts so I can't say for sure if the rumor is true or not. The quest is kinda cool, ground and space based (if you have JTL).

This mission is currently bugged (at least is was a couple of weeks ago) and you will not receive the droid head.

Hello all,

I actualy bugged this in game and sent in a CSR ticket, way back when these items stated dropping. The CSR contacted me and went to where I had the droid set up. He then told me;"Itis a bug andit would be fixed soon, in the meantime though do not place any items in it, because when it does get fixed they will be lost." To that I told him I couldn't that it just looked like a contain and did not fuction like one. However I was able to get one open by using the /open command when I had it selected.

Hope that helps put this to bed.
