Greetings,

I have a droid that I named earlier in my career, no I would like to remane the little guy and the usual way of naming doesn't seen to work, is there a trick to renaming?

Well as far as I know, you should just need to program it again for 4 separate commands using the new name in order to change its name to the new one. You might have to reprogram it for each of the 4 commands using the new name or maybe just issue the already programmed command using the new name, not sure.

I have never had any luck renaming droids. I used to just let them get a running head start from me and then start shooting them or sick my probot on them.

if you go thru all the commands at the first time, the second time you will have to need to program more than 4 commands to make it change name. let's say a droid has 13 commands, and you programmed all with the same name the first time , the second time you will need to program at least 7 commands so that the "command with new name" > "commands with old name" then the droid will change name.

It may not like the name you are giving it, as the naming filter is fairly strict. I've had it reject 'robodoc' before.
