Thread: What Droid Invasion??

I am quite mystified by this Droid Invasion. I guess it was wishful thinking on my part, but I thought the Droid Invasion would mean that I could make Battle Droids, like the ones you see in the Droid Caves or on the Corellian Corvette. Before I mastered DE, I bought a combat R3 droid with the maximum amount of rating/dmg. When I sent it to attack a regular quenker, I was surprised to see it roll up to it and use it's body to attack. Needless to say, the droid became incapped in no time. I thought at least it would shoot at it from a distance like a probot, but it didn't shoot at all. It was kind of funny and sadat the same time to watch whilst I was also fighting (I was a novice TK at the time this happened).
I have been quite disappointed in the profession since then as it was not what I had hoped for. Anyone have any thoughts or similar experiences to share?

The droid invasion was referring to the droids on the corvett and the droids that invaded some cities on live (was originally involved with droid engineers, but that was back during the whole droid handler thing...) After we shot down droid handler, droid invasion was pretty much scrapped and we got droids rebuilt, which is the utility droids in this publish (and much better than combat droids would have been in my opinion).

Your R3 probably didnt fire its gun because it was in MELEE mode... use the ranged command to switch between Ranged and Melee, you'll get a confirmation message...
As for your dissappointment with the DE profession... All i can say is im dissappointed too... I bought this game so i could build droids that would be USEFUL.. when the highest level combat droid you can make has trouble taking on a Dwarf Nuna... then theres problems.
DEs will never get schematics for Battle Droids, or Super Battle Droids, or even Droidekas because those mobs are currently overpowered... try walking up to a super battle droid and not getting incapped in one hit. The devs are never going to give us the ability to create something so powerful.
i understand how you could be dissappointed... when every customer you talk to wants you to build something you cant. or if they do purchase a combat droid they complain its a weak piece of junk.
now ive lost the point of my rant... so i think ill get back to work...
I'll still be a DE come publish 8... but who knows after that... the skills i have invested in Master Artisan & Master Droid Engineer i could gladly put somewhere more useful...

Veruca you should have bought a Repair Kit or 2. Good quality ones can do the trick.Droids don't fight your battle your battle for you, like your former (overpowered) Creature Pets. They help you out.
