Thread: So another week passes, will we ever get updated from thunder?
Another week goes by, and still nothing from Thunder about whats on the plate for us. Well maybe he is holding out to give us a Christmas present. Why do i fear it will be a Christmas Goose?

We're not the only "update" he's working on. He's preparing to post to *EVERYONE*. All professions. Granted, I'm getting a bit impatient too, but heck, let the guy do his job.
The way I see it there are two ways for us to get the post... quickly, without enough thought, or well-thought out and a little late. Personally, I'd rather see the well-thought-out version.
Besides, we've waited this long, what's a little longer?

I think your incorrectly linking the time taken to create a post with the thoughfulness of the post. Past experience has led me to believe this is a correlative not causal relationship expressed in the pitiful excuse for a DE plan we received last time we waited this long. I fully expect TH's next post here to be, "So what do you guys want again?"
Frankly, the hollow promises that DE's will be the focus of the next patch has been obfuscated by the fact that most professions have been promised something and DE's are NOT the stated top priority if you follow the dev's posts regularly.
You see Eric because noone has gotten there post has no weight. We were promised LONG ago LONG before every class was to get a post that they were looking at us. We have gotten nothing since BETA.
Thunder said he would post us an update and if you follow these boards then you would know that promise was for 3 weeks ago but instead he played the game(which is fine his weekends should be his) So frankly what i am asking for is WHAT HE PROMISED US.
Patient i think every DE has shown unbelievable patience with the continual line of garbage we have been fed.
Do other classes need some help, sure they do, but frankly i could care less untell they do what they said they would for us. Let those other classes wait like DE have waited untell they fullfill there promises made to DE.
So one star away, but someones word and integrity is about all you have in life and so far Thunder-Stang word is as worthless as the droids they let us make.

Are they needed? Yes i agree
Are they needed before DE changes??? You answer that one. And if yes then how many other are needed before we get a fix?
Every single patch CH gets somthing, Heck i would almost like to get a nerf cause we really cant get much worse but at least we can see our name in the patch notes.
I don't mind the CH changes going on first, because I HATE the pet wars.
I'm just waiting until what they say for jan before i start ranting.

We've been told that droids are getting some love in the January publish. Now, what form that love will take I don't know (flowers? candy? trip to Bermuda?) but at least it's something.
My feeling is that they've been a little distracted since release. They really wanted mounts, vehicles, and player cities to be part of the initial release, but they didn't have time, or were pushed to release too early, or whatever conspiracy theory you care to come up with. They were concentrating on those.
In addition, there were several bugs that had to be addressed. The thing is once you get past beta and you're in a release environment, you get bombarded from all sides. Unfortunately, the squeaky wheels got the grease, and the DE community was basically being passive despite the incredible number of bugs. The DEVs attention was directed elsewhere.
Now what happened is that once their attention was diverted, theyseemed to have trouble goingback to a "neutral" position. The classes that were getting the love kept getting the love and the classes that were getting the shaft (nerf) kept getting the shaft (ala DEs).
Recently I'm starting to see a shift to that. When vehicles, mounts, and player cities are behind them for the most part, I forsee MUCH more time spent bugfixing rather than adding content. I agree that we've been ignored for far too long, but I'm just saying that at this point it's silly to keep demanding attention. We're going to get it, it's been scheduled, and now we just have to be patient.
You don't have to like it, but not liking it isn't going to make the DEVs work faster.
IMO thedevs working on the item decay code before working on us or chefs was a kick in the shorts.
