Thread: 350k steel and 200k fiberplast?
Quote From Sintrosi:
Hi there. In order to stop repeated posts every day I have answered the two main questions here. Thank you for reading this and not cluttering our board with the same question.
The fastest way to grind to MDE is do mouse droid until Blueprints II ... then make Advanced Frames until Master DE.
You will need around 350k steel and 200k fiberplast.
Here is the crafting macro.
/ui action toolbarSlot12; <----this calls the crafting tool 00-11 top row of tool bar 12-23 bottom row
/selectDraftSchematic 113; <-----this picks what to craft start at 00 in data pad and count left to right
/pause 3; <----pauses for 3 seconds
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype Practice noitem; <-----this makes it a practice item so you dont have to destroy any product
/createPrototype Practice noitem;
/pause 2;
/ui action toolbarSlot01; <-----this calls the next macro that is identical to this but calls diff crafing tool
Please .. no flames or posts in this one. I dont want this one unstickied.

LOL like of all of us... surveying, placing harvesters, or if you are millionaire, just buyingthem lol ![]()
But I can assure you that is the hardest part... two months novice DE now and havent hit master yet cos Im always out of steel ![]()
Took me a couple of months to get the materials only because I was using personal harvesters for a long time. Then a friend of mine hit master Architech and BLAMO! By the time I hit master I had just under 100K of steel (99,800).
Word of Advise get as many Medium or Large harvesters you can get and mine like your life depended on it.

Yeah, I'm sitting on 500k durralloy steel (and that's just one of the types of steel I have) and easily 200k fiberplast myself. All I did, place all my lots of heavy mineral extractors on the steel, then switch all of them to the chems for the fiberplast. Easy as cake.
Yep I did the same. I have to buy my last lot of steel though because the ADF take so much I ran out.

Good Advice. Start of with Perosnals and slowly work you way up to Mediums. If you can get your hands on Extraction Rate 10 Medium Harvesters then don't bother with Heavies. I payed 15k for each of mine, I bought one at a time as I could afford them, but they are well worth it. If you can't find a good Steel or Fiberplast spot, then just collect anything, you could sell it to make extra cash (Copper and Ore are easy sellers on the Bazaar).
Also find an Power Seller and use all your lots for Harvesters. I tried in the beginning to supply my own power with a couple of wind harvesters, but it just slowed me down. Then I found a guy who would sell me power at 1:1.With 7 Med. Minerals on Steel and 3 Med. Chems. on Fiberplast, it was only a couple of weeks before I hit MDE. It was a long slow ride from Personals to Mediums, but once you get to Mediums you will fly.
Because Advanced Droid frames are easier. They only take Steel and Fiberplast. Thats four clicks, or two double clicks. I don't xp it makes but it is faster and easier. But the 150 Steel and 70 Fiberplast is where it will get you. Steel is readily available and so is fiberplast, the majority of time I gind what I dug up last night, then spend the rest of the time running missions for money, and Faction points (which you can trade for droid crafting exp)
If they would fix the **edit** harvester bug I could even gather materials. Right now my harvesters consume power and money like there's no tomorrow - I feed them enough energy to last two days and *blam* when I check the next day they have turned off with 0 or negative power after a few hours.
It stinks...gah!

Are you sure they turned off? There is a current display bug with harvesters that incorrectly shows the power. If you turn the harvester off and back on then go into status, it will refresh the display to the correct values.
All mine show 0 power just about everytime that I go check them and every one of them this workaround works for.

Wow, this is really useful information. I wasn't aware of this work-around and so I have been keeping notes on how much power my harvesters are supposed to have in them so that I can add more when needed.
(The display bug is causing power to appear to be consumed at double the correct rate so it is reasonably easy to keep track of how much power *should* be in the harvester.)
