By the time this game is set the Droidekas are antiques. Technology unlike wine does not get better with time. So gimme the IG 88, LORD OF THE BATTLEFIELD!!!

I agree with the IG-88 part, but technology does get worse. By this time the holonet has been almost completely dismantled and droids are not antiques, they are merely outlawed. The emperor is actually limiting and restricting technology as it threatens his rule.
