Thread: made me laugh while on the CH Boards.
I went over to the CH board to get a laugh at how much they are belly aching about how they are getting nerfed. (need to try being a DE then they will shut up) and some one asked what would be the best tank after the patch goes live. Someone said PROBOT. Imagine my surprise after seeing that.
Could the "piece of junk" (others words, not mine) finnally start coming into its own. Will we finnally able to say, "yeah the damage sucks, but what other thing can tank like it."
I think I may have to do a serious production run of Probots really soon.

I agree. Unless you rotate several probots, healing your lvl 10 creature pet will be better. I don't have the slots to rotate probots.

Unless they add a way to repair droids probots will still not replace non ch critter pets. Between the battery guzzeling and the utter inability to heal them directly they are very limited use for tanking in anything other than an emergancy. It dosn't really matter much of a critter pet gets beat down faster as long as it is not so fast that you cannot slap on a pet stim they will still be far and away better.

I have to agree with this too. It would be great if DE's were able to "repair" droids on the fly. Similar to Doctors healing/Rez comatants and pets in the field. Maybe we could get Droid Repair packs, similar to the Stim packs for players and pets. Also still hoping the battery issue can be resolved once and for all.
I definately agree with the rotating-probots system. Three of them (and a good quick-damaging weapon) should see you through most low to medium combat situations without any worry. A gaggle of five probots in your inventory could well hold you for an evening (providing you don't just send them at entire groups of mobs at once).
But if anyone needs help with a DEA thing send me a PM and I will be more than willing to offer any insight into the DEA/DEnet system that's on Ahazi.
Ya, the usual CH whine, "I can't solo **insert 10k HAM critter name** anymore! This is BULLS**T!!! I'm quitting, waaah!"
That Probot 40%Medium armor has to count for something I guess. Now if only lvl 5 and 6 armor modules would be upped to "Heavy" and stack. /dreams-on
While we're dissing the CH whiners...
I can recall only one actual full-fledged Creature Handler in the original trilogy,Jabba's Rancor keeper. And what do we know about him?
Well, he was all tough on the outside, but ultimately just a big fat crybaby.
Perhaps we shouldn't judge SOE so harshly. At least they modelled the character of CH's perfectly.

**edit**, got one starred for poking a little fun at Creature Handlers.
Must have been one. <wink>
I'll 5 star you just for kicks!
Agree with the probot production plan, but I think vehicles are going to take precidence first.
Priss, contact me ingame. Several of the MDE's on flurry are trying to set up a DEA on our server, like they have on Ahazi. We can share resource info and prices to help stabilize the market.
