Thread: Pets in DataDroids

I Logged in this morning before work to see what effect this patch had on droids if any.

The only thing I discovered was that you could still place pets in droids.. however you can not remove them.

Removing the pet gives me an error saying "This Pet has not learned the transfer command", (paraphrased). I'm guessing this has to do with the new restrictions on pet ownership for non CH but did not have time to thoroughly test.

Let me know if you guys can find out any more information

Thanks!

That seems to be in line with what everyone on the main boards is saying.

I would say that the smart DE would refuse to sell any data droids at this point... is a good way to make a very unhappy customer...

As of one hour ago I was still able to move my item storage MSE's into and out of my R2's data module. Perhaps because the R2 was made pre-patch? This will take some experimenting...

Actually, the smart DE would just inform his customer that data modules, at this point, are only for storing schematics and putting anything else in them is at the customers own risk.

Greetings!

Here's my experiment:

I built a MSE droid after today's "Big Patch" and put a level 2 data module in it. No problems with this.

I built a R4 droid with no modules in it. Just wanted a new droid for testing.

I tamed them both. I then called the MSE with the data module and opened it up. I then put the R4 into the data module without a problem. I stored the MSE, and called it out again. The R4 was still in the data module.

I then transfered the R4 from the MSE into my datapad. Again, not a problem. It appears to still function as usual.

Based on what people are saying, some pets do not know the 'transfer' command, and thus cannot be moved between data locations. However, droids inherantly know the transfer command, so this doesn't appear to be an issue with them!

I plan on using a droid with the data module just to store one of each droid that I sell, so a customer may take a look at them.
