There isn't really one, in the sense you mean. There's a designer who works on Droid Engineers, and he's also in charge of general crafting skills. He does try to read the DE forum when he can, but it's not like part of his job in the sense I think you mean.But he doesn't have permission to post there anyway--when you see one of the other profession forums get a post from "their dev" it's because either someone asked them to write something up for them, or because they saw something they wanted to reply to, and they asked me to post it.

Any given profession should definitely not feel like they are being intentionally neglected because they haven't gotten a dev post in their forum. We don't have specific devs assigned to forums. Instead, we're trying to rely on the correspondents (I know, I know. We have a long ways to go on that front).

Well, that explains a lot. The same guy who is in charge of general crafting skills is also in charge of DEs. I'd be surprised if he ever got time to read this forum at all.

welcome to large corporations. Anything you say or do and has not been authorized in triplicate by at least 10 layers of management shall be taken down and cause for you to be sacked.

So all this time waiting and hoping that the Silence was due to "Our" Dev being too busy to respond, too busy working on our class, fixing it, working on the promised combat droids? We don't even rate a Dev who Can post or is Supposed to Fix Us? General Crafting?!?!? And factories are still hosed, that leaves me profoundly depressed now concerning the only class I would stay in SWG for. This game is Still a Beta and they don't even have Dev's working on our class!? Forget the add-on modules and all the other crap you think will line your pockets with gold! Fix what you Promised First! If this sounds childish, consider how we've been treated, told to shush, and sit quietly in the corner and pound out broken droids that only get Any fixes or attention if they Falloffthe"other" pet class tree.

Personally, I'm a little upset with this news.

Mainly because I'm seeing dozens of General Crafting fixes go into each and every patch, but little in the way of DE changes, and a good portion of what we got in this patch was likely done by the CH guy with attribute chages to allow Droids to use it.

It's really getting rather ridiculous the length of time we sit here and wait. CH gets reams of changes. Commando's gets completely redone. Pistols/TKA/Melee's have had multiple changes. Etc. DE's?

(shrug)

Nothing. We're told to expect great things in the future. But we get no info.

Truth be told, the reason why I'm so upset, is because my wrist hurts from grinding, I'm going to hit Master DE on Saturday, and I don't feel I have anything to show for it. The stuff I get at Master is either useless(Binary), Minimally in demand(3po), or is functionally identical to lower level stuff(Armor 6, because it's useless on a Probot and it's not going to save any other droid). The only thing I have to look forward to is Medical 6 if I can actually find someone who still needs one.

After all this pain(I really do mean it, my wrist does hurt), is it too much to ask for a little ray of hope?
