Greetings!

After today's "Big Patch", I decided to take out my trusty DZ70 to see what the patch really means. Let's call this poor fellow "CannonFodder".

CannonFodder was in good health, so naturally I sent him out to attack a Dwarf Nuna. CannonFodder tickled it a little, and then promptly fell down in the sand, incapacitated. Alright, nothing new here. I picked him up, and brought him out again.

I checked his vitality, and nothing had changed. Sure, his health was abysmal and CannonFodder appeared to have some health wounds, but there didn't appear to be any lasting effects from the combat.

So, I did what any Engineer would do. I sent poor old CannonFodder out to fight some more to prove that this wasn't a one-time occurrence. After five battles, er, incidents with the local fauna, there stills appears to be NO vitality loss.

So, based on my simple test, it seems that droids no longer suffer permadeath (as expected) but also don't suffer a vitality loss.

On a side note, I tried the /diagnose command on CannonFodder, and it actually worked! I was able to see his wounds as well as his battle fatigue(!). I'll have to install some sound wave receptors on him so he may listen to the local musician and recover from his fatigue. I wonder what music droids enjoy...

what i think is going on, since there is no way to repair vitality yet on droids the devs commented out the code (or overrid in the droid class) the effects untill there is a way to repair them..

A good dev decsion.. but maybe not a good design decsion.. (why come back to a DE..) Just means we will be upping the prices, for a short while anyways.

Actually, my understanding was that vitality loss only happened on a deathblow. Try dueling and get the other guy to deathblow the droid, or attack some meaner creatures.

You have to test them against mobs who can death blow. My bantha gets incaped a few times per day but only once has he actually been deathblowed to the point he lost vitality. Try sending your bot into a swarm of crazed durni they should db it and are slow enough to run away from.

Greetings!

I can hear "Mr. Roboto" being played on a Kloo Horn right now...

OK, so it sounds like vitality is only lost when a pet takes a death blow. I'll have to try that out with ConnonFodder and check if a BE vitality pack works on him.

Have the musicians play "Mr. Roboto" for him.
