Thread: A few questions about droids...
Greetings. I'm not a Droid Engineer. But I have a few questions about droid that I thought maybe someone could answer. I'm looking to buy some droids, but I'd like to know a little about them before I buy.
For one, is it true that there are some droid that are able to store Waypoints? I was talking to someone and they said they thought there were such droids. After your Datapadreaches its limit of 100 items, that there's a droid that allows you to store more Waypoints in it. If this is true, what is it called?
Second question; what is a repair module on a droid? What is such a module used for? Everytime I ask that question in-game, no one answers >_<. Am I that stupid?
Third question; are probots really worth 12k? I mean, are they very strong and such? I'm trying to debate weither I should buy a probot or just stick with Rebel faction pets...
My fourth and final question; I have a skill called "Customize Droid". But when I try to use it, it says I don't have the skill that is needed to use that... yet "Customize Droid" is in my toolbar. To use Customize Droid, do I need the Droid Engineer skill or what?
Thanks for your time! ![]()

1. Yes, you just need to find a droid with a Data Module installed. The bigger the module, the more waypoints it will hold.
2. The repair module allows you to heal wounds (the black bar) on other droids. Since you can only have one droid out at a time, you can really only heal other peoples droids. Works ok if both you and a friend have a droid with this module installed.
3. This is what I always say about probots. No matter how many other pets you have called, you can always have a probot as well. It is another bit of damage/protection along with all your CH pets or faction pets you have called. If they are charging 11K for a probot, it should be an advanced with some armor modules installed at the very least. I charge more than that with craft stations and such put into the droid.
4. I have no idea what that skill is. What profession are you?
I'm a Novice Sharpshooter/Novice Rifleman/Novice Brawler, and atleast one skill in every other starting profession.
Thanks for allyour help! ![]()
The "Customize Droid" is actually in the macros/commands menu. I have it in my commands list. I am almost master artisan.
