Has anyone seen any schematics for droids as a faction reward? I've heard that that there are both Imperial ones and Rebel ones, but I'm not declared for either side. I've also heard that you must be overt in order to see them. Anyone confirm these rumors and have more information?

Yes, they exist, yes you HAVE to be overt. IMHO, you're better off buying the droid instead of wasting your FPs. By the time you earn 2k faction points, you should have earned enough money to buy one, though if someone's going to charge you 20k for an R2, go ahead and use your faction points.

Nah, nah, I wasn't talking about the basic models- R2, R3, etc. I was talking about droids that DE's can't build based ontheir skill trees. Are there any schematics for new (not basic DE) droids that can be acquired as faction rewards? I've heard you have to be overt to see them, but not being declared yet, I can't check. Any further info?

Actually, after I re-read that I realized it still wasn't clear. I'm talking about schematics, not the droids themselves. Sorry for the confusion.

you don't need to be overt to see the schamtics.. there was one DE that tried to get the schematic.. but said he couldn't cause he was a droid engineer.

i never saw him say it but someone said that some one said.. Have yet to get it confirmed..

I've been wondering about faction schematics for quite some time now. I have yet to see someone post specifics on the results of having used them. Surely someone has tried the faction schematics?

ONe person bought a the surgical droid schematic from a faction recruiter - it was good for fives uses, he said, but he still needed all the components that go into a surgical droid. He was trying to buy droid components from me - I think I sold him a few frame units - he balked at me telling him I'd charge 5k for an advanced brain - I did sell him a few level 4 med modules - he was about to put level 1s in it...

Thats correct it allows non-DE's to build droids. They of course have to assemble all the parts and then put them all together. I don't really see the point.

Can anyone else say...retarted idea? Just another thing that makes our class even more useless if then can just buy the droids with FP...
