This is a repost from my thread in the dev forum called "The Probot Situation".

I'm putting it here so people can know the facts, that indeed, we can use frickin' pet vitality packs on droids.

I have to log out for awhile, this is just irritating me more then it's worth. But it's clear the Devs don't give one whit about us if they can't even inform us of something like this.

I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW ANGRY I AM RIGHT NOW.

First, thank you to everyone for posting. I'm not angry about that, LOL.

I just learned something.

There is a magical way for us to heal vitality on droids.

We use the same organic pet vitality packs that are used for creatures.

We got ONE LINE about vitality listed under CREATURE HANDLER CHANGES when vitality went in.

We got NO WORD to us specificly, not a post, not a patch note, NOTHING.

I'm sorry, but I didn't assume that we could use them on droids - I would have never thought of such a thing.

So basicly I've lied to every customer I've had in the last week.

This game is just proving to NOT be worth it.

I'm sorry that this is becoming a rant, but this is just too much. First of all, we have to heal our droids with a product from a BE. That's just dumb to begin with. Second, there was no documentation for this - I never even thought about it. And I haven't heard a single word on the DE boards about it either.

This is just too much. Yes, it's nice we can heal them, but for God's sake...They can't even tell us about this.

The treatment of DE's from the Devs is horrible, and this is just too much.

The DEVs should just get rid of the whole battery charging thing and make it so the Droid Batteries are now the Vitality Packs for droid pets. That is the way I feel about it.

This is probably a bug, big surprise there.. We have been told (not directly mind you, but in an aroundabout way, usually in the CH notes) That they will add (or fix the current) droid repair tool to do act as "vitality packs" for Droids..

LOL, I think you missed the point of my post...

You can, right now, heal the vitality on your droid with organic pet vitality packs made by BE's.

It's in the game.

What I'm most irritated about, besides the stupidity of using organic medicines to heal droids, is that we were not told about this.

LOL, I just read what you said above.

You do understand, I misunderstood you.

I can't believe more DE's haven't had anything to say about this...

I'm simply curious if other people even knew about it.

Came as quite a shock to me.

from what i know, they have class designers, who are working on2-3 proffesions each, but the class designers are not allowed to post on the forums (i hope they dont hold them in chages), so they have to ask one of the 3 devs to post their stuff. so the response to the community depends on 3 people and their communication with the class designers.

i hope theyallow the class designers to post on the forums, it would be enough if they post a 10min post one time a week or just post their "to do list" and "done list" = happy community

This just goes to show how the devs only have creature handlers in mind as far as pets are concerned. Another clue is how the radial menu option to deploy a droid deed is labelled "tame" - yeah, like droids are while creatures roaming the countryside that need to be "tamed".

Thing is what are we gonna have for StimPaks?

I always thought that the repair module that we put inside droids were gonna be used for healing vitality and batteries for stimpaks would then be more appropiate , wouldn't it?

I'm giving this a shameless bump, because I really want to get the info out there - I can't believe that this is possible and this is the first I'm hearing on the DE boards.

It's sad, but I think it's because there are a lot less of us left then there was before...

(my speculation)

I think is because pets are probably handled by the same code

so actualy there is not a big difference between a droid or a tamed creature

for this reason is possible to use be stims on droid or "try" to repair a bantha with a repair droid

probably in future we will see more "diversification" in the code for handle droids or animals but now we have some funny bugs-effects.

as myself i don't care for them too much as they don't affect playability

sorry for crappy english

I can understand building all pets off of the same code, but it would be that difficult to change the name on droid deeds to read Activate or something besides Tame?
