Remaining past isues and bugs to discuss. Please add to this list or refute any issue in this thread. THIS IS NOT THE VOTE thread. That will be posted on Friday once I am satisfied all issues for the week are in to be voted on.

World persistence of droids.
Many DEs and players alike would love to have a droid act as a persistant piece of property like a harvestor or house does. Instead of storing and recalling a droid, we can opt to have the droid stay in our world much like a harvestor, perhaps paying maintenance fees until stored. If we had this option as well as the option to store and recall a droid we could get around a droid getting stuck..etc but at the same time add some realism to the process.

Power level indicator on droids (Displayed on screen)
We would like a power level indicator on our Droids, displaying along with the droids HAM. Perhaps making even the action bar the power indicator since this makes sense.

Droid selling at the bazaar.
We want droids to have their own heading under the bazaar. Most newbies will not look under misc for a droid and in the end it hurts the sales for the younger DEs that cannot afford their own vendor. We would also like to have the amount of the bazaar looked at and increased to perhaps 10,000 credits instead of 3,000.

Droid user manual in the holycron so we can curb the questions.
Self explanatory

Droid names.
Right now the Droid Name filter will not let us put a Number in the droids name. For realism (as much as one can get in a game) we would like to be able to add numbers to our droid names. In this issue, how do we name a Protocol droid or any other droid that uses Converse programming? There is no apparent way to name these types of droids. Allow us to change the name of the droid in the same easy way that we can rename a structure.

DE specs need better descriptions. When a new DE, and even veteran DEs read the description of their droid, all they get is a mundane description that does not tell us much about what the particular droid is supposed to do. One month after release and we have no idea what a Binary Load Lifter is SUPPOSED to do (We know it does nothing but when it is "fixed", we would like to know.) We would like to see this on the modules as well.

Recharging Droids:
Allow us to drop batteries into droid storage and have it recharge itself. Perhaps consider making a charge last a little bit longer than it currently does.

Warning message for "Dismiss" command.
This one has bit many people. Some think that Dismiss means to store the droid and I personally have had many an unhappy customer lose their droid. Please add a conformation box to this explaining what is about to happen.

Bugs: (These should be self explanatory by the sentence. I will explain in detail the ones chosen in the report.)

Droid pathing and following. The droid stops at server boundaries.
Information in datapad about droids displays wrong until you store droid.
No graphics for Probot attacks.
Item Storage module 2's come out as Data storage 2's when hopper finished.
Storing the droid causes all loss of items on an Item storage droid.
Droids dragged from the datapad to the secure trade window are invisible.
Droid repair kits do not work properly.
Multiple crafting stations in some droids breaks the modules.
Droid does not travel with you when you take the shuttle.

More than one crafting module in a droid seems to break all modules. Also related, modules in Socket clusters working is hit and miss. The Advanced Protocol droid takes 2 Socket module clusters (And is supposed to) but no modules then work.

NOTE: Issues known to be on test such as Droid customization and Storage fix will not be listed here as they have been addressed.

Please post your additions or arguments here. Please do not flame me or any other poster and keep it civil. There is no wrong opinion, only method of speaking your opinion. It is you responsibility to be informed of issues already sent in. I have stickied them at the top of the forum for your perusal.

DO NOT VOTE HERE. OFFICIAL VOTE THREAD WILL BE POSTED ON FRIDAY.

Great work Sintrosi. Got one more to add. Talking Droids do not talk enough, which defeats the perpose of personality chips.

What about droid customization (i.e. coloring)? I can't remember if that was on the list. It was up on TC for a bit but it was still broken so they took it out

The thing that is killing this skill is not even addressed here, that is the pointless and mindless grind of experience needed to obtain the only droid people will pay money for and that is the Probot. By the time a DE can make one of these they will have destroyed 1000's of droids and componets, the endless raft of bugs with these components destroyed any market for the lower end droids. I will give an example, I was asked to make a storage MSE Droid a few weeks ago and I said sure I will make you 1 for 500 credits, but

I will give an example, I was asked to make a storage MSE Droid a few weeks ago and I said sure I will make you 1 for 500 credits, but be warned the compartments are a buggy. Ok he say's I will take one. The next I get a game mail, I put some items in the storage compartment and now they are gone. Whats up with that? I explained that they are buggy. This happened the after the patch stated that all modules where fixed and working. (It is my belief that any statement about droids functions is a guess as to how the patch actually works and when all the tickets come in they have to go back and make fixes).

The next solution was to lower the amount of XP we get on the final product, the DZ70 droids went from being worth 301 XP down to 152 XP. This is not including the XP for the 3 modules but only the XP when you make the final combine. Furthermore there is NO Reason for any DE to spend any experience points in any other skill tree until they complete Droid Design IV and can make Advanced Probots. Again because we cannot sell anything else and the grind of XP is just not worth spending in any other Tree.

Make the XP points for the other trees lower and perhaps put 1 of the trees on another XP line, for example droid customization should be on another tree all together. However because we cannot paint droids different colors or add textures at this time whats the point??? It should, when fixed be a totally different XP line.

The grind needs to be addressed, this is one of the best Star Wars classes but it is not fun or rewarding. Please fix the XP requirements for the skill trees and give us a reason for spending our XP in other area's and give use working droids that have a market outside the combat line of droids.

Personally, I make more money selling medical droids than I do selling probots. Since I only charge 6k for an Advanced probot (That's still a 2k credit profit) There is a larger demand for surgical droids. And crafting droids. Probots are far from the "only droid that anyone will pay money for". The days of the 50k Probot are OVER thank goodness.

Good job, Sintrosi. Having more than 5 droids in the datapad. I'm sure this has already been addressed. Talking droids. And everything else has been addressed. Great.

Eh probots arent the only droids that sell - you just need to find buyers.

I own 4 droids right now - an R5 medical (who i bought for show) a DEZ (who i got cheap but havent had the heart to dismiss) a converse LE repair droid (which has no use that I can tell - except he has a medical and chemcraft thing - which i dont understand how to use) and my top of the line probot.

I've actually been looking to get a silver, red orblue protocol droid for a while now but *nobody* has one and I Think it might only be useful in rare situations where i can converse but my npc target doesnt comprehend shyniwook. Still - it'd be nice to find one to try out... course i'll need to find a better source of income to afford one, and a bit more luck with not having costly bad luck or glitch disasters like what happened with my first LE droid or with this Largehouse I just bought v.v that disappeared into thin air when i reclaimed it
