ok this is a question for someone who has been a DE for a while. I was making a droid for one of my guild mates and asked him (in guild chat) if he wanted a personality chip in it. Then one of my other guild mates said she had one in her R2 droid. Now how can you have a personality chip in a droid that doesn't have a slot for it?

This morning I left my sarcastic LE repair standing around in front of my house while I walked out to my factory, then went out to set up a new harvester. He was there for a little while, and when I came back he made some remark to me about loosening his restraining bolt. I got a kick out of that, but that's the only spontaneous interaction I've seen.
if the droids dont give to much benefit themself they really should add more feeling to the game with talking depending on the chips. would be more fun to have a droid out

keep them around when you fight they can talk sometimes then. mostly like "run away!" and the stupid chip says "why did you do that " when you get incapped in front of it. or it used to ..

There was a time when the personality chips slotted into some of the R series, and they said things.
This was a bug... but I recall an R5 I made early on saying "Hi" to one of my guild mates right after I sold it to him (default personality), and I was shocked....
At this point, no talkie chips in any non human-form droids, and even the human-form droids have probs with the higher level chips

yup atm no chips into non 2 leg droids, but i really wish even the 2 legs droids would talk ocasionally then like stormtroopers do.
just say something suddenly, imo the chips are so sad atm.

Hehheh. Build MSE Droids lol. My MSE has no problem chirping away continuously and I can even detect a hint of 'attitude' in his chirps sometimes. Oh, get two of them together and watch out.
