To all the Droid Engineers out there, I must tell you all now that you are amazing individuals, deserving of respect of every other person playing this game. You have my utmost respect and gratitude for your deeds in this game, and I shall NEVER frown upon an empty droid vender ever again

On TC2, I created an entertainer character to have some fun. Now, on TC2, for those that don't know, skills are instantly had with just a few clicks, as well as any resources you could want (just some planitary travel), as well as all the equipment you could ever need.

I decided I wanted an entertainer droid to go with me, to make my shows more fun in the cantinas. Due to the nature of TC (everyone doing combat for the most part), crafting professions are few and far between. I decided it would be easiest if I just made the droid myself.

Over to the evil blue froggy, and I trained up Master DE instantly. I then began reviewing the schematics... and promptly got dizzy. After a bit of poking around, I finally figured out some of the basics, and began collecting the mountains of resources I'd need.

I wanted a pair of R3 advanced droids. That meant 3 factories just to make the pair of droid brains I needed. Got the subs started, and went back to live for a while. Came back, and started the actual droid brains, back to live for a while. Came back, and started working on the droid itself.

Yikes. Just yikes. I managed my way through it with the help of a friend who did DE for a while on live (God bless him!), and I now have 2 new Adv R3 droids, and the batteries to power them going in the factories

Again, to all of you, thank you. You truely do this as a labor of love, and I respect each and every one of you beyond any level you can imagine. Thank you for your work, your time, and the effort you put into our little mechanical friends, I salute you.

I run Ubuntu Linux and play SWG with Cedega. Give the live CD a try, you'll like it

Sadly, there are very few who truly respect the profession that haven't actually tried it. But those who do and make themselves heard, are lifted up by this community as an example of how everyone should be

Oh and Jjiaah, nice sig. Try what I tell them. "You can wait 30 minutes for me, or spend hours hopping around trying to find another shop with it or another DE, but you'd have to wait 30 minutes for them to craft it too." Usually seals the sale, or has them coming back a few hours later with appologies and willing to wait.
