Thread: How much damage does this Detonation Droid do?

Thats the question a potential customer asked me today. And I was very ashamed that I didnt have a clue (we all agreed that good customer support makes a great DE).
So, are there any equotations how the Detonation Power translates to Damage? What I have found in the posts is, that it causes Blast Damage.
For completeness: I try to sell Detonation Power 38 (MSE Mouse) and DP 54 (R3) droids.

Its something like 170-200 damage per point of detonation rating. Blast radius is 18m and it is indeed blast damage.

i watched an R3 bomb droid with a 58 detonation rating get detonated on a speeder riding jedi. The droid did 2.6k of damage to the Jedi, and 6.5k of damage to the speeder. actually I detonated it myself. my alt is a BH. but even the higher of those numbersis considerably less than 170 pre detination rating.
I'm puzzled as to why the jedi took so much less. he was unarmored and unbuffed. could that difference be because of some PvP damage reduction modifier?

yea, the PvP modifier comes in for the Jedi, and the Blast damage resists fo the speeder come in to play for that.

so it shows me the damage after armor resistances rather than before, I was never quite sure about that.
on a side note: I didn't want to destroy the jedi's bike, but what was I suppossed to do? he's sitting on it unarmored and unbuffed in the middle of a public place, care freely chatting it up while a BH is standing 16m away looking right at him...

some people just ask for it...

The formula is actually 150-200 damage, with most people just using 175 for an estimate. The PVP reduction is 75%.
