I happened upon some Trade Federation bozos with my alt today, as she had her Med/crafting droid following her.
The neighboring mob of RSF kindly decided to help out (one of them anyway) and she tossed a grenade at the Fed Rat I was fighting.
Now I know droids without combat modules will normally run far away when hit by Area Effects. However this time it was different. After the fight ended, I noticed my little buddy wandering around nearby. It's like he's on patrol, except he picks a random new point in the same general area for each leg. He's been doing this for well over an hour now. I dont have the heart to stow him, its just too funny.
It's like a sonic grenade bllew out his Sensor package of something....

Open up the door on his left rear lower chasis. Then on his Advanced Droid motivs system, you will see a small screw on the upper right. Ensure that this is tight, if it is not, the Motive System has lost it's ground, making the Droid unable to control his movement.
Sometimes sharp jolts, such as a Sonic Grenade can loosen that screw.

Use a locking washer on the screw and it should be able to survive a nearby grenade blast.

If this does not help, just punch it several times with a hydro-spanner, helps on all high tech equipment

EricTheGreat.
He ran the 'Droid Mafia' and would likely be proud to wear the crown of Resident-DE-Pervert.

A locking washer works fine, but the standard Advanced Droid Motive system comes with a very small grounding screw, hence why when it loosens it loses ground. The addition of a locking washer is just a tad to thick, so the screw will not reach. I have been known to use some adhesive though.
As was also mentioned, a sharp blow to the head will also fix the problem.
I don't know about using Lube oil though, I didnt think this was an Entertainer Droid.

Check the readout display on his front panel. If there's a blue screen with a bunch of gibberish on it, reboot. Then get yourself a droid that doesn't run on WindowsSWG.

Aye, try LinuXWG. It's more stable, but you have to hand code some of it's programming.

Or you can just give your droid a swift kick and say the following:
SHUT UP AND WORK RIGHT!
Although the droid wont be fixed instantly, it will compensate for in imbalance in the Motive system and move correctly. Or it will run away screaming (if its an astromech) and possibly attempt to contact the authorities for droid mistreatment.
