Thread: Profession interaction.
What profession do you interact with the most for building droids?
Is there a profession you NEED to accomplish your droid builds?

Not sure if i understand the questions but i try anyway ![]()
1) Well every profession a bit... but most would be the BH, as they are the only ones who buy disposable droids from us
2/3) From Architects, Armorsmith and Musicians we need parts for different Modules. But from Master Artisan we need parts for about 1/3 of our schematic list, if not more.
Hope this helps ![]()

Musicians? for mind buffs?
Thx you answered them just fine !
Not for mind buffs.
Musicians at the novice level get the schematic for the Dual Wave Synthesizer, which is a required component for the Playback Module (allows a musician to play back a recorded music track to "duet" with).
In addition to the post above mine, BH's and Commando's buy disposable droids (bomb droids). Also, there is higher interaction with resource suppliers who buy survey droids (which get used up).

Well I was considering it for an alt account of mine. As you can see by my sig that im a MBH. I already see the value in DE's. If one were to make the IDEAL DE what would that template look like? I havent looked into races ( if it matters).
Thanks!
That's a tough one. Personally, I'd say something along the lines of:
Master DE ==Master Artisan ==Architect -/-/-/1 ==Armorsmith 3/-/-/- == Entertainer -/4/-/4 == Novice Musician == Scout (-/-/4/-, 2/-/3/-, 3/-/2/-, 4/-/-/-)
That would eliminate any dependance on another class to make every module possible, plus allowing limited ability to sell your wares on 2 vendors.
Reasons:
Master Artisan: LOTS of items made at Master level used for DE frequently
Architect -/-/-/1: Make your own power cores (used in Power Droids)
Armorsmith 3/-/-/-: Make your own composite armor segments for Level 6 armor modules (lvl 5 and 6 armor is currently "broken" but if/when it gets fixed you'll be set
Entertainer -/4/-/4 + Novice Musician: Make your own Dual Wave Synthesizers
Scout: X/-/-/- allows you to mask your scent making it much easier to stay out of danger when surveying. -/-/X/- allows you to get greater harvests from creatures you kill for making Travel Packs to bundle special orders in. So any combination in there works.
You may opt for some combat skills in there, but everything you take away makes you start to depend on someone else...
Bounty Hunters and Smugglers. not Commandos

Bah! You're right. I play both (on the same char) so sometimes juxtapose which can do which lol. My bad.

Personally,
Master DE
Master Artisan (you need the Master Artisan components so much, it is essential)
Armoursmith 3000 (composite segments)
Architect 0001 (power core units and Equipment Factories)
I don't sell a lot of Entertainer Droids, but to be self sufficient youwould need
Entertainer 0404 and Novice Musician (Dual Wave Synthesisers)
now this is where I differ from Jjiaah.
I personally feel you need some Merchant skills if you want to use a Vendor, and put it on the Map
at least 4000, I would recommend 4003 (if you get Entertainer above) this uses all your skill points. This means you are totally self sufficient, and can use multiple vendors, Merchant barker droids, and have reasonable Vendor storage.
It also means (gasp) you can use 1 vendor purely to store the massive amount of components you will want to keep hold of from Factory runs.
I went for Master Merchant, and have no Entertainer Skills. In this case I would go for Scout 0010 just to get the hunting skill and a little bonus. thankfully, I am in a very nice guild, where we have a Master Architect and Master Armoursmith, so I have been able to take some combat skills as well, just to take a break from crafting every so often.
