What profession do you interact with the most for buyers?
What profession do you interact with the most for building droids?
Is there a profession you NEED to accomplish your droid builds?

To deliver you unharmed -relatively so- is the primary requirement for collecting the bounty that was posted on you. If you try starving yourself, you will be force-fed. I'm not known for being gentle about that sort of thing."

Not sure if i understand the questions but i try anyway

1) Well every profession a bit... but most would be the BH, as they are the only ones who buy disposable droids from us
2/3) From Architects, Armorsmith and Musicians we need parts for different Modules. But from Master Artisan we need parts for about 1/3 of our schematic list, if not more.

Hope this helps

Not for mind buffs.

Musicians at the novice level get the schematic for the Dual Wave Synthesizer, which is a required component for the Playback Module (allows a musician to play back a recorded music track to "duet" with).

In addition to the post above mine, BH's and Commando's buy disposable droids (bomb droids). Also, there is higher interaction with resource suppliers who buy survey droids (which get used up).

Well I was considering it for an alt account of mine. As you can see by my sig that im a MBH. I already see the value in DE's. If one were to make the IDEAL DE what would that template look like? I havent looked into races ( if it matters).

Thanks!

That's a tough one. Personally, I'd say something along the lines of:

Master DE ==Master Artisan ==Architect -/-/-/1 ==Armorsmith 3/-/-/- == Entertainer -/4/-/4 == Novice Musician == Scout (-/-/4/-, 2/-/3/-, 3/-/2/-, 4/-/-/-)

That would eliminate any dependance on another class to make every module possible, plus allowing limited ability to sell your wares on 2 vendors.

Reasons:

Master Artisan: LOTS of items made at Master level used for DE frequently

Architect -/-/-/1: Make your own power cores (used in Power Droids)

Armorsmith 3/-/-/-: Make your own composite armor segments for Level 6 armor modules (lvl 5 and 6 armor is currently "broken" but if/when it gets fixed you'll be set

Entertainer -/4/-/4 + Novice Musician: Make your own Dual Wave Synthesizers

Scout: X/-/-/- allows you to mask your scent making it much easier to stay out of danger when surveying. -/-/X/- allows you to get greater harvests from creatures you kill for making Travel Packs to bundle special orders in. So any combination in there works.

You may opt for some combat skills in there, but everything you take away makes you start to depend on someone else...

Agree, this is a tough one.

Personally,

Master DE

Master Artisan (you need the Master Artisan components so much, it is essential)

Armoursmith 3000 (composite segments)

Architect 0001 (power core units and Equipment Factories)

I don't sell a lot of Entertainer Droids, but to be self sufficient youwould need

Entertainer 0404 and Novice Musician (Dual Wave Synthesisers)

now this is where I differ from Jjiaah.

I personally feel you need some Merchant skills if you want to use a Vendor, and put it on the Map

at least 4000, I would recommend 4003 (if you get Entertainer above) this uses all your skill points. This means you are totally self sufficient, and can use multiple vendors, Merchant barker droids, and have reasonable Vendor storage.

It also means (gasp) you can use 1 vendor purely to store the massive amount of components you will want to keep hold of from Factory runs.

I went for Master Merchant, and have no Entertainer Skills. In this case I would go for Scout 0010 just to get the hunting skill and a little bonus. thankfully, I am in a very nice guild, where we have a Master Architect and Master Armoursmith, so I have been able to take some combat skills as well, just to take a break from crafting every so often.

I agree with ya on what you're saying there. I was more thinking pure independance. My DE is Master DE, Master Artisan, Master Merchant, and Arch 4/3/2/1 (bouncing around alot in there as needed). I run my own mall, and get a decent amount of visibility from registered vendors. The downside is that I need to get schematics for DWS's from musicians, and CAS's from Armorsmiths. Plus I fortunately have my wife (Master Scout / BH) to harvest hides for me so I can make Travel Packs. Otherwise I'd be paying for the hides as well. While alot of that can be traded off in services as opposed to credits, it can still take some significant time if you run out....

Wow! Thanks heaps folks. Lota very good info. Let me modify a bit. If this "Ideal DE" were to only support my MBH and a few friends? Not so much for the general public? What might I be looking at then?

Thank you very much. I am humbled by your in depth responses!

Still Master DE and Master Artisan at least.

Armour components would be good, buyu them if you can, if not then Armoursmith 3000

If thats all your doing supporting MBH and a few friends, depends what skills the friends want, no entertainers, then no skills needed, wouldn't need power droids either so no Architect skills.

So basically,

Master DE, Master Artisan, Armoursmith 3000

This still allows a couple of vendors for storage, and of course 10 lots for harvesting stacks of resources.

The rest of the skill points I would put into either Mastering Armoursmith (unless you know a good one already), or getting some combat skills so they can come hunting with you.
