Ive tried to find info on this and really havent gotton much on it.. Im wandering if the DE corrospondent might know or would beable to verrify this.
I have a few therories on it.
My first is that it dirrectly effects power consumption. I have heard of droids that eat batteries yet mine seam to last for atleast an hour on a single charge, maybe longer though i have never acually timed it. I use my droid for long perriods of timeeven my combat R3 and it seams like i go through about 1 battery, 4 charges a week.. Even when i use my harvest droid and go out hunting i never use 4 charges and im out for hours and hours.. i dont buff soo my hunts can last more than your average 3 1/2 hour buff runs.. Ch/rifleman no buffs needed.. Im convinced it does effect it...
Most of the parts i use in droids are all up around the 80%+ and lots are closer to 90% I only mine high end stuff,, soo its what i have and to go mine some crap metal just to make things is not worth it IMO.. soo my droids are always made with very high end stuff.
My second thought is that it also effects how fast they react or complete a task.. though this is sorta a long shot as lag and such can effect things. and most tasks are short soo timing them would be hard.
Power consuption is my main guess though, anyone have any thoughs on the matter?

I am interested to hear a response from TK onthis, as my experience has been almost the opposite of yours.

All testing that has been done shows that what you are saying is not true. It would be great if it was true though.
So if you can prove it, please do.

Mechanism Quality does not conclusively effect any aspect of droid construction or function.
The only thing that Mechanism Quality could possibly effect, at this time, is a chance of a better success rate, thougheven this is based on mostly 'instinct'.
All droids are supposed to last for 60 minutes on a full charge. Modules such as the Entertainment Effects modules and the Auto Repair modules reduce the charge time to 30 minutes. People have made complaints that their droid eats through a battery ever since the bug that instantly recharged a droid, when stored, was removed. Before that point in time, majority of the droid users didn't even realize that a droid ran out of power.
Though droid crafting has improved since the days of the Pre-Nerf Probot, the window of difference between Droid A and Droid B is still pretty small. Only the quality of resources used on the combat capable droid deeds and a limited number of droid modules really has any effect on our creations.

well like i said,, i havent tested it. I guess i could, but with not being able to keep out 2 droids and varriing tasks could effect power use. I guess one way could be to make 2 combat droids making one with great parts and one with crap..
I dunno, i just hear people complain that a charge lasts just about 30 mins or soo, and mine seam to last lots longer. I dunno.. I never have enough time to get done what i want,, let alone go test crap /frown
Mabey Tk will have the Hot line on this one..

I just answered the question for you JeCy. The answer is no, it does not effect the power use.
Reread the post that I just made above and it will explain why some people complain about their droids only lasting 30 minutes.

There is no way my Probots with 5 auto repair modules last 30 minutes. Maybe 10 minutes, or 12 tops. I
ll have to time it next time I'm using one.
