Can someone with no scouting silks use a harvester driod? Or is that the point of harvester driod?

they need novice to use it or higher of course.

You need to have novice scout to use it. Having the droid harvest for you increases the amount you get, based on your skill level and the harvest rating on the droid. One customer of mine (a master scout) bought a 108 rated harvesting droid from me, and he said that his output increased by about 25%.

I sell mine for 85k, and many of my customers said it paid for itself the first day they used it.

No, you need at least Novice scout to use it.
