Thread: Some advice from a DE please

Hello, I was hoping I could get some advice from a DE on what would be the best droid setup for me.
I am a melee char that sometimes uses a combat droid and a harvester droid and also have a med droid with storage. I just picked up pilot so I guess I will need a ship droid as well (not sure though since I am an Imp).
These are my needs:
I need as much item storage as possible so let me know if these are possible.
Need medical ability unit thingy and item storage
As much data storage as possible I guess on the ship droid and item storage as well
A harvester droid--can those have storage units?
A combat droid with self healing and item storage?
What would be my best setup? Also the max number of droids is 4 correct? Do faction pets work towards that number?
Also could you please let me know what I should expect to pay for any recommended droid sets.

Ok first, you can have 5 droids, so you have room there.
You can mix and mathc many combinations, but if you put storage in a Combat Droid for example, you would lose Combat power. Same with a Harvestor Droid, you will harvest less.
Them ost efficiant options for you probably are.
Combat Droid full.
Harvest Droid full.
Med Droid with Storage
2 other Droids slots whatever you want, each with Storage.
Flight Computer for flying, doesn't take a Droid slot.

Just to clarify,Flight Computeris because you are an Imperial, and don't have any ships that can use an astromech.

In the med droid, it would behoove you to make sure you get FoodChem crafting, if you ever make your own Medicines.

thanks for the quick replies, I have another question though--do you need to add multiple storage compartments to max out the storage?
Also do all these droids need to be the advanced models?

If the DE you are buying from can't make level6 Item Storage Modules, he has to use multiple slots to max the storage. The combat and scouting droids need to be Advanced to hold the most modules and get the highest ratings. The Medical droid needs at least 3 slots (regular R2) for Med, Crafting, Storage. The DE faqs have a listing of how many modules each type of droid can hold, so once you decide how many functions you want in each, you can pick a chassis to match.

Just to clarify a little. Find a DE that makes Level 6 Item Storage Modules. You need only one level 6 for max storage(10 items).
