Thread: Quick surveying droid question
*Do these find high concentrations of a selected resource?
*How long does this process take?
*Are these effective at finding the 90%+ veins?
Depends on how they're experimented. Mine are around 45 mins.
No.

To be honest I can´t find any use for the interplanetary survey droid even if they only take about 20 mins to use, since anyone can hit the alt+tab and check out swgcraft.com in a matter of seconds. If the devs would have the droids either to check for high concentrations or to display stats about the resources, then I´d be selling a lot more of those suckers. Not to mention, I wouldn´t feel like ripping off customers.

This comment is made a lot. It's got it's point pretty well made. Those of us who have used swgcraft since the beginning can tell you that there were planets that rarely get updated: Dathomir, Endor, Yavin 4 and Rori on some servers were the big 4.
Then came allong Interplanetary Survey Droids....
Now, people use these to update Swgcraft more efficiently. Endor actually gets updated. Ever notice all of those resources at the bottom that have names but no stats? Ever wonder how a person got those names and why they didn't just sample to get the stats? It's due to swgcraft's mail parser script that will parse the /mailsave of the email the ISD returns.
So yes while "just looking it up on swgcraft" is a option, there are a lot more things going on in the background most people don't realize.

Mine are 17 min and think its close to the lowest time possible
Yeah, if your getting 17mins, your pretty much maxed out on time (realisticly). Now to get more than 6 or 7 charges out of them, thats the hard part
