Now I see what TK was talking about. That he doesn't do them because the rewards suck.
I went for it anyway, hoping that they may have actually changed them. Well they didn't.
I now have a 5 charge Lightsaber crafting tool from both Phase 2 and 3. An item which both doesn't work and is of no use to me. I would rather have gotten a unique house decoration.
/sigh
TK you were right /bow should have listened to you. At least my combat guy got an item that he could use, a nice one in fact.

Well, the design of the FS quests is to be eventually a jedi. Which is why Phase 3 melee acc gives a lightsaber crystal, too.
Many people are doing the quests just for more content, and to have some fun, or for some extra abilities. But quite a few are going with the idea of being a jedi, and these items won't be useless to them.

its worth doing the fs quests for the fun factor watching the no brains running round moaning that it sucks they have to wait between spawns seem to think that there should be constant spawns just for them best bit is of course most turn up doing them since they to dumb to work out just how much xp is needed and seem to think do 6 fs quests makes them jedi.

That's the thing though, the new system was setup with the mentality that "normaal' people could have force sensitive skills with no intention of going Jedi. Like what would a Jedi need with ranged accuracy? I have zero intent to take my DE Jedi, nor do most crafters.
At least a Survey tool would be useful, it would make far more sense the a Lightsaber crafting tool. Even with the Melee Accuracy quest, along with the Saber Color crystal, you got a crystal that buffs your mind for 900+.
The only quests with a reward totally unusable by the questor are the crafting ones.
Hopefully they can change it before the next time around to make it more fair, yet I doubt it.

Lightsaber throw is effected by this one, I think

Actually, there are a few 'lame' rewards given out by the combat quests. How about a Melee weapon power-up that effects weapon speed, but wears out only a little slower then a standard power up. Or a muscle stimulant that is consumable.
Majority of the quest rewards are pieces of artwork, or items that have finite uses.
The Inorganic Survey tool, the Mind buff crystal, and the Health buff crystal are the only 4 (Survey tool counted twice) rewards that don't fall into the expendable, or art category.

to be honest the reward is only an offshoot of the actual real reward which is unlocking the line, it might be usless to so many people but to others it will be useful, you could argue what use is a banner when someone else might want such and such if you see what i mean. i did 20 patrols more by accident than intent but got the banner but others who dont care about houses and stuff it would be totaly pointless and a mind crystal more use.
