LOL! Just thought this was the truth for most of us DE's out there.

Some ideas for new droids could be:

Bounty Hunter Assassin droids
IT-O Interrogation Droid
Droideka Battle Droid
Trade Confederacy Trooper Droid
Dark Trooper (these should be allowed to be built only by Imperials though, give Rebels an equivalent)

Some ideas for droids to interract with the environment:

-Let R2's have a module for a drink carrier on top and let players purchase beverages from the droid in a cantina, without the chef having to sell everything by person. (R2 gave drinks in ROTJ).
-Allow protocol droids to translate an unknown language to players who choose not to learn the language
-Let R2's be capable of opening locked doors in buildings (maybe like for a secret mission).
-Let R3's, R4's, R5's and R2's be capable of accessing building schematics.
-Let probot droids be assigned a waypoint to go to, then come back and report the exact position of all Imperial/Rebel bases along the way.
-Allow any droid with a droid repair module to be able to repair itself, other droids, and damaged harvesters and other damaged objects.
-Let protocol droids in cities be spies for bounty hunters.
-Allow droids to be able to put maintenance and power into harvesters for a certain radius that they could be assigned to.
-Allow R2's, R3's, R4's and R5's to be able to let a player switch weapons in battle without any penalty as long as the droid is out. (Relates to R2 tossing Luke the lightsaber in ROTJ).
-Allow protocol droids to be able to tell you the odds of beating another player in PvP based upon their rank. "Never tell me the odds!" - Han Solo
-Allow droid engineers to be able to put restraining bolts on droids to have them service certain areas eg. Like above for the chefs droids to sell drinks in a cantina a restraining bolt would be required, or for a droid to maintain harvesters a restraining bolt would be required.
-Allow more than one droid out at a time

I'm sure I will think of more. But hey, this is a good list to start off of to actually have droids be more involved in the SWG environment with just what we have right now. Hopefully we'll see something like this soon. It would make droids be of more value and droid sales would go skyrocketing if they could do this.
