Is it true that droids that wouldn't normally have medical mods, like astromech droids, can no longer support them?

No, that is not true.

Not yet anyway

Okay, good. Artoo units are just cool, and it's not a stretch to have them as med droids.

MSEs, yeah... but Artoos seem acceptable.

Hold up. We need to test whether med modules are still functioning in R units. There are reports that they do not. I've tested med mods on recharged probots, treadwells and MSEs and they work. Still waiting to here back from people testing R Units:

Hopefully they still do. If not we need to raise hell.

Well, I'd hope that they work on the astromechs if they work with everyone else... :\

The still work in R2 units, at least.

I replied to a number of inquiries over the weekend about non-working R2 medical modules, but in each and every case after recharging the droid the medical module resumed working.

These were all pre-patch construction, though, so I can't say whether or not NEW R2 units will work.

I will run a test in a NEW, post patch R5 unit tonight unless anyone else can confirm.

I love this, BTW, DE collaboration in bug hunts. Wish it was for improvement of droids and not to kill DEV made bugs.

Not true. So long as the schematic will accept the module, it should work.
