Not sure if this has been proposed before but here's an idea I have been playing with ....
1.> If a droid has a medic module installed then it can also have an medical inventory module installedfrom which the owner can load stims.
2.> The stims loaded in this fashion must be created by the owner.
3.> The droid can then be placed in amedical centers so that players can get healing while the owner is offline. Optionally the owner and or the DE could earn UXP for players healed by thedroid.
4.> The medical module should have a healing skill modifier which when combined with the healing skill of the droid owner determines the qualityofhealingprovided by the droid.
5.> The healing skill modifier is determined by the experimentation skill of DE who creates the module.
6.> The medical inventory module has a maximum number of items that it will allow and is limited only to med stims created by the owner.
7.> The maximum number of items allowed in the medical inventory module is determined by the experimentation skill of the DE who creates the module.

A fine idea, only a few problems:
3.> The droid can then be placed in amedical centers so that players can get healing while the owner is offline. Optionally the owner and or the DE could earn UXP for players healed by thedroid.
This would require Droids to be placable objects. As it is now, your droid disapears when you log off. While disirable, it would require huge changes in the mechanics of the game.
In addition, if this were implimented and both you, as theMedic, andI, as the DE, recieved xp while off line the artisan community would have a fit. They would want a droid that sang and danced for them while they were off line and gained them xp.
While I think this is a fine idea I think it is a bit further reaching in scope than the developers would be willing to go for a droid that basicly plays your game for you while you where off line.

Thanks for your feedback and while I agree that UXP (this is user xp and is not the as standard xp) might not be desirable that's whyI mentioned that as an optional in my original post. As for your other statement, I'm not sure that it would be a huge problem to make a droid stationary, of course I may be over simplify things.
You also mentioned that the droid would be playing the game for you however I don't really agree with that assessment either and perhaps I didn't make this clear in my previous post but the med droid deployed in this manner would never be able to heal as efficiently as its owner could when online. The droid is also limited to being placed only within the medical center and this will bring more players back to the medical centers which are currently not being utilized.IMHO there will always be a need to be ingame because the medic/doc will be restocking the medical droid and alsohealing in the field using traditional means. The droid can only hold stims created by its owner and this can be easily coded because the owners id is already on both the stims and the droid.

Actually, your droid DOES NOT disappear when you log off. This changed just within the past few days, and I now leave a droid out on patrol when I'm offline.
